About Rosetta Holiday Park

Rosetta Holiday Park is a beautifully matured park set on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Peebles in the Scottish Borders.

Rosetta Holiday Park Description

Rosetta Holiday Park is a beautifully matured park set on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. The caravan and camping park is set in grounds surrounding a late Georgian mansion and stable block which currently houses our popular Hayloft Bar and Restaurant.

The park is spread over 50 acres giving ample room to comfortably station all tents and touring caravans. The caravan park accommodates touring caravans, privately owned static holiday caravans and for the camping fraternity we have tents including some with electric hook up. For the more discerning holidaymaker we have top of the range luxury Holiday Lodges available in our newly developed Parklands Lodge area at the top of the Caravan Park with stunning views toward the Venlaw Hills.

User

best caravan park i have ever been too, staff are friendly food is excellent, and theme nights are fantastic, but very hard work for staff, they put their lives and souls into it xx

User

What a great camping park. We had a fabulous time. Pebbles is a great place with beautiful scenery. The entertainment was the best, im still singing the songs.

User

We had a lovely two night break away here. Staff were really friendly and the park is well maintained. The kids made lots of friends and the playpark is great we will be back again!

User

We are totally enjoying or stay. The park is massive and at this time of year probably quieter than at peak times but we appreciate that. It's very handy for local shops including a decent Tesco. There are much better toilet /shower facilities than other places we've stayed and I would return. Only reservation is that if the camping field was full we would be a bit cramped with large tent, car and trailer.

User

Just home from a fantastic weekend at Rosetta. Summer sunshine definitely helped but the site is just perfect, easy walking distance to the beautiful town of Peebles, plenty of open space for kids to explore on site without all the expensive activities that all too often these days ruin the basic fun to be had on a camping weekend! Will definitely be back...

User

Just had a brilliant weekend here ,great facilities and handy bar for a wee sing song /karaoke .

Will be back soon

User

Just arrived in our mobile home so far so good so peaceful. Reception was so nice & helpful. Going for a meal shortly and a couple of tipples.

User

Had a fantastic time in May 18 bank holiday. Site is clean and very welcoming. Toilets are clean and warm. Great value. Due to the popularity with cyclists a member of staff came round to warn people to secure their bikes at night, this was due to a gang from Edinburgh who where stealing bikes, this is not a fault with the site just a fact of life.

User

Had a fantastic couple of nights here, plenty space for the kids, very safe, everything you would need for a camping holiday, great saturday night at the karaoke in the site bar

User

Great campsite. good size pitch lovely walks and scenery very pleasant and helpful staff will definitely be back soon Thank you

User

Been to this gorgeous site many times with my large family & plan to come many more times. With Beautiful views all round the site, the warm & friendly staff really make the place fantastic. The bar & food are extremely good with games available for the kids. You really get quality family time here & it is so peaceful.

Pebbles is a beautiful place with a Tesco a short walk away. There is fantastic park with Nature walks, stunning views & mountain bike trail. So plenty to do.

The staff on the park are always busy & really put their Heart's & soul's into the place, which shows throughout the park & really makes your holiday. Always receive a high standard of service with a smile keep up the good work

2 night stay great place highly recommend

User

booked in for a couple of days camping and its a lovely site, surrounded by great views. Staff really nice and make you feel welcome in the hayloft bar. Great there is a pool room which is free as I was with my hubby and two teenage boys. Toilet facilities clean and warm, only downside no plugs for your own hairdryer and no hairdryes available.

User

We're just home from a great weekend camping here, really reasonable prices, great site, great location, friendly and welcoming staff and great entertainment on in the bar, plenty to do to keep the kids busy, only bad thing I've got to say about the place is the condition of the toilets I think a proper deep clean or complete makeover of the toilet facilities and this place is easily 5 stars, besides that would recommend to anyone and well all be back for sure.

User

The park is lovely. Pitches are a bit uneven but it's quiet and an easy walk into town. Toilets and showers were clean and had plenty warm water. Lovely nature walk round the park and a new breakfast bar in the courtyard.

User

great weekend at rosetta park clean staff friendly on arrival only let down was toilets and showers no water pressure in showers so didnt feel the facilities were up to standard for the money paid . dish washing being in the toilet area wasnt handy as it was the gents and ladies and usually we do the dishwashing together . overall the park is lovely.

User

We arrived late in the evening so had to check in at the bar. We were given the option of pitching our tent in the camping field or the quieter more sloped grassy area nearer the entrance. We chose the quieter option (camping field was packed and noisy). We were told that the toilets/showers in the castle (near to camping field) were best. We didn't try them but the toilets in our area were grim. Smelly, dirty and not a pleasant experience. The shower was like a dripping tap. Once our tent was pitched we headed to the bar but as they don't take card payments and we had forgotten to stop at a bank on the way we couldn't have a drink.

Nevertheless, we had a pleasant stay in Peebles. Rosetta is an easy 10-15 minutes walk into town and the area we were camping in was fairly quiet.

User

Stay one night in motor home our pitch was booked but when we got there someone else had taken it and we ended up parked on a slope. Toilets need refurbish my husband suggested I didn't use them so I didn't however he did stay they had appeared to have been cleaned in the morning .

User

I wouldn't go back here. The only good point being that the toilets/showers are warm.

Bad points:

- 6 toilet cubicles in female toilets....1 was padlocked, 1 was out of order, 3 had no functioning light, left one toilet with a light which had no toilet paper most of the time.

- No lights on campsite at all. You need to make it to toilet block unscathed for some lighting.

- Campsite take additional money for a dog but it's not dog friendly. Went to pub but they don't allow dogs so had to walk 20 mins into Peebles centre to get a meal....easy enough to find a pub that serves food in Peebles. It was not made clear anywhere on their website that pub doesn't allow dogs, ridiculous when they accept dogs and charge extra for them. Unsure why the extra cost when they make no provisions to accommodate them or the owners of dogs.

- Loads of noise at night. Several groups of tents setting up large seating areas with a camp fire and music late into night. I normally wouldn't object as others sites we have been to allow similar but equally they are strict as to when people need to quieten down. That is not the case at this site.

It's such a shame as it's such a lovely location, has so much space and with lovely old buildings but it's so run down. Owners seem to have lost interest.
