Nice large room with plenty of space, a table chair and a sofa. Clean and well decorated in modern colours. Bathroom is a bit small but otherwise functional. There's only a tea room at this property so no breakfast or evening meal options, but the place opposite does those.

Helpful staff. Our room was nicely and recently decorated and was a suite so spacious, but our son's room was smaller and more outdated. The bathrooms in both are very small, barely enough room to use the loo. Reasonable rates, and plenty of tea and coffee available in the room.

I booked a room for my elderly parents. Amy at reception was very polite and friendly and gave them a warm welcome. The en-suite room was warm, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfect! I am very pleased to convey my parents thanks and give Roslin Chapel Guesthouse a very well deserved five stars!

Lovely pleasant stay. Room was nice, nice touches, bottles of water left. Bed made each day. The only thing that would of been nice was if i could of opened the windows..otherwise a really nice place.

**This review is for the cafe in the hotel, not the hotel rooms.**
Very poor customer service on the manager's/supervisor's part. The young girl at the till was very sweet and kind! I have nothing negative to say about her. She had forgotten one of the soups we had ordered, but brought it over quickly when asked and was very apologetic which was all fine. The older lady working in the cafe later came to interrupt us while we were in the middle of eating and told us to pay for the soup that we had already ordered and paid for in the first place. She also started making all sorts of excuses about how we were such a big table with such a complicated order. Just to spell out how excessive and complicated it was: 4 people, 2 orders of soups & scones, 2 orders of soups & tomato cheese sandwiches. Challenging, right? We paused our meal to give her the 3£ she was demanding for the tiny cup of soup, and then proceeded to finish our lunch as quickly as possible and get the heck out of that unpleasant place. Not sure if customer service is always like this in Scotland, but I've never had such an uncomfortable dining experience in all of my travels. In Canada (or literally any of the countless other places I've travelled to), they would just accept the mistake, chill and let it go. Hopefully the rest of our trip in Scotland will get better from here.
Also in regards to the quality of the food, the scones were dry and the soup was pretty bland anyway so unless you're absolutely starving don't bother eating here.
