As of tomorrow, any bookings I take for parties etc. will require a non- refundable deposit of £50, which will then be deducted from the cost on the evening of your event. I have just been shafted tonight by someone whose party had been confirmed more than once over the phone in the past few weeks but, because they couldn’t get hold of me today (I was at another event), they booked someone else last minute. This booking was on the recommendation of a friend who knows I’m professional and that when something is booked and in the diary, I honour it. I take what I do seriously but tonight I’ve put myself out for no reason and come away with nothing. I’m more than a little annoyed so I need to cover myself for this in the future.
