Well done to Graham Fisher tonight who had a hole in one on the 18th. (Contrary to reports wee Cammy Fisher was NOT spotted running out the woods to place his dads ball in the hole) 😂

Results from yesterday’s I&T Hood stableford............
Winner yesterday was Ewan “fatboy slim” McTaggart with an excellent score of 43 points, which remarkably also included a no score at 16, hopefully Ewan can keep this up and get his handicap back down to where it should be.
Well done Ewan 👍🏻
... In second place was Neil “NR” Ritchie (on the BIH) who led the majority of the day with 39 points and must of felt he had been done “a kipper” when Ewan put him down a “plaice” on the leaderboard. In 3rd place was a new member of the club Peter O’Hare who also had 39 points pipping everyone’s second favourite plumber Angus Murray (on the BIH) to a podium finish.
Twos were scored by........
Andy Docherty @8 Neil Ritchie @11 Graham Fisher @13 John Mcbride @18 John Duncan @15 for Eagle 🦅
Reminder that our raffle for a membership draw takes place on Easter Sunday live on Facebook, tickets are available at W.Glen footwear, the Bike Shed and at the clubhouse. Tickets priced at £10
Also take advantage of the great £200 membership available to folk that have not been members in the last two years, giving you full membership rights.

First medal of the new season took place today, with some familiar faces picking up from where they left of last season.
Results from todays subscription medal as follows..........
Division 1 winner today was the SGN gaffer Ian “the regulator” Shaw with an excellent 1 over par 70 gross giving him a winning nett score of 65. Ian will now be hoping to challenge for all the majors this year in his second full season back at the club.
... Well done Ian 👍🏻
Division 2 winner today was current Sunnidale bowl champion and serial winner from last year, “Nicola’s favourite son” Bobby “vote yes” Liddell with a career best level par 69 gross giving him a winning nett score of 58, some 7 shots ahead of nearest challenger Hughie Charker. Bobby will now have division 1 in his sights in the near future.
Well done Bobby 👍🏻
Division 3 winner is also a serial winner from last year and who has also been putting in alot of time and hardwork honing his game during the winter months, was Steven “make America great again “ Collier leaving the rest of the field in his wake, coming “straight outta the swimming baths” as opposed to Compton, Steven was the final player of the day to return his card with a gross score of 77 for a nett 62, meaning like Bobby he also won by 7 shots in his division.
Well done Steven 👍🏻 and the scissors ✂️ are coming 😉.
Twos today were scored by......
Jack Reynolds @8 John Mcbride @11 Alastair Shaw @11 Ewan Mctaggart @11 Bobby Liddell @13 Leighton Thomas @13
Well done guys 👍🏻
Tomorrow we have I&T Hood stableford with the usual ballots at 9.00 am and at 11.30 am for anyone looking for a game.

Visited today with my friend today . Met with a warm welcome from Liz who could not be more helpful . She could not apologise more for the kitchen being closed , but that was not a problem . Course in excellent condition , greens were fantastic despite the bad weather they had last week . Fantastic views from all around the course.

Well worth the trip , thank you again .

User

Group of 5 of us wr there fr a wee visit... arrived just as the clubhouse ws opening but we still got a filled roll and a hot pot of tea. My camera has never taken sooo many beautiful pictures from around the course that it was difficult to concentrate on my game. The course is quite hilly but well worth it.. a couple of wonderful difficult holes and it plays longer than it seems but well worth another visit

User

Great friendly club really enjoyed it very hilly but beautiful from top 360 deg of stunning views

Course was really good despite the terrible weather this year. Certainly no problem with balls plugging excessively and requiring a panic search. Greens were very slick and consistent. Hospitality was very good and friendly!

User

Been going to Rothesay Golf Club for 16 years, the course has never been as good for years, well done to greens staff and the guys in the background.keep p up the great work👍

User

An excellent family friendly place to go for a meal ,snack or a drink ,where the service is wonderful and there s great banter from your hosts Jimmy and Laura, also with the new sound system it makes it the perfect place to have a function :)))

User

Nice layout, and worth the hilly climbs (some quite severe) for the incredible views which are worth the green fee alone.

Bit boggy in places off the fairway (I know, there's an easy answer to that !), particularly down the left on the 18th where I went flying in thick mud, but thankfully with no-one around to witness it !

All in all, an excellent value, and memorable visit.

Finally, to the stewardess in the club shop with whom I had the discussion beforehand re: Mather Avenue - the road I couldn't think of was Chalfont Road !!
