We were looking for a somewhere to eat & walking towards this place we smelt the most amazing smell, we decided to go in & we weren't disappointed! Staff were friendly, food choice was plentiful & the food was absolutely delicious!! When we visit Edinburgh again, we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was lovely and fresh. I had the tarka daal . Gorgeous. I asked to them to spice it up a bit as its a medium and I like my curry hot. Wasn't a problem. Will be back X

Just finished an amazing meal with my mum. We eat indian a lot and was very curious about the tapas style - it did not disappoint. To have a smaller portion of a few dishes is genius and was well received by us. Good luck with the next resturant and you will def see us again ���

Hands down the best indian meal ive ever had!! A totally different taste experience, theres no other place or taste like it! Highly highly recommended !

Excellent meal , the food was delicious & loved the idea of tapas sized portions allowing you to have different dishes , you can also take your own alcohol even tho they do sell it 👍👍

Booked a table for 2 at Roti for a special birthday. Despite it being very busy they gave us a choice of tables to sit at. Staff were great and quick service. Loved the tapas style, i don't usually experiment with foods i haven't tried but we ordered lots of things to try. Kept us full up all day. Food was well prepared and when we decided we wanted extra portions they came straight away. Excellent value for money and great location. Would very much recommend to others.

Food was LOVELY... had an issue and was sorted ASAP. Stuffed and happy.. the cheese/chicken kebabs.. tandoori naan.. with saag and lamb (best saag ive had) and paneer makhni absolutely gorgeous.. great meal. Great service. Would reccomend.

We are vegetarian and were delivered chicken pakoras instead of vegetable. It was how the mistake was dealt with that really disappointed us. When we phoned the restaurant we were told to sort it out ourselves by re ordering and were offered no apology. They then confusingly hung up and told us to phone back later, leaving us very confused. After another unclear phone call and a lost delivery driver (well over an hour later) our vegetable pakoras turn up. There was no apology or refund offered. The rest of the food was okay, quite oily and all tasted very similar. Very disappointing customer service. They made a very bad mistake with our order and did not care or make any real effort to apologies.

The fold was good but te manager was extremely rude since the time we came in. We decided to change the order just a min after ordering, he said the order was ready and then served the food 15-20 mins. They charged £3.50 for just a few slice of onions which were not even fresh. Loved the food and the waiters but the manager was not hostile enough.

So the doors of the restaurant was open and we could smell yummy indian food and decided to go in while we were on the way to mother India. The guy at the bar suggested we take a seat as we had walked in without a reservation. Another guy came after a few mins and said he would check what he can do. And then came to us with a menu in hands saying '45 mins tops' in such a way that was neither respectful nor a good way to treat your customers. There were enough tables that were empty and if he did not want to serve us or had other reservations shortly, he could tell us the same and we would gracefully exit. He showed us to the table, kept the menu and walked away, which clearly indicated he thought us quite beneath his service. We felt quite uncomfortable at the treatment and walked off. The food - can't comment, ambience - couldn't really observe in the short while we were there. But service? We got enough of that in that short while!

Food was reasonably tasty and arrived promptly, however most dishes were very salty too. Butter Chicken was not very flavoursome and not remotely as good as their main competitor, Mother India Cafe, around the corner.



Service was prompt and the BYOB and no corkage made for an inexpensive meal which was nice. Interior decor and layout ok, but lacked any feeling of being special or authentically Indian or Pakistani.



Overall an ok meal but won't be rushing back any time soon.
