What a night I had tonight was a last min thing and a wiz in stitches fi the start the two guys hosting it made it even better but it was savage. Free parking as well food wiz brilliant defo recommend what a laugh it was.

User

What a great night on Friday 28th best comedy club outing ever mark,Ross and Liam were great Gary was fantastic as was cheeky compère Alan

User

Went for the first time last night and had an absolute blast. Comedians were all hilarious and adapted well to the crowd. They really involved the crowd and made great use of the guests for their comedy. Really worth the money, we will definitely come back!

User

Went for my mum & I's birthday night out on Saturday and had a brilliant night! All of the acts and the host were fantastic, table service for drinks and free parking outside. Bar is open until 1am so can stay for drinks after the acts are finished. To top the night off, I won the free tickets package for filling out the comments card. Excellent night and can't wait to go back again!

User

Went along last night , had a fantastic time.

Every one of the acts made me laugh , some more than others . Think i may have witnessed the future of scottish comedy . Nice to have a fantastic comedy venue basically on my doorstep well done Rotunda i will definitely be back and telling my friens about it

User

Was here last night and had a brilliant time! Lovely feel about the place as soon as we walked in. 4 of us were shown to a booth on our arrival and made to feel welcome by friendly staff. Loved the table service...we just wrote our drinks down, help the note up and they were delivered to table! Shutting the bar while acts are on on is a fantastic idea. The acts were top drawer - really funny. Gary Little being our personal favourite.

The only things I'd like to see improved is maybe the food menu & the temperature of room. Was only a choice of 4 meals. We had hoped for more snack/ nibble choices. Also - the place got very warm. To be fair, it was mobbed so not sure if that can be fixed.

Anyways - highly recommended! Will definitely be back! Free parking right outside aswell. Great night out! Thanks X

User

Unlike the glasgow comedy venue that thinks charging full price to stand in a dingy basement is a fun night out, the rotunda is a modern venue with comfy seats and great bar service. Dinner followed by four great comedians, and then a short walk afterwards to finnieston nightlife meant my group had great night out!

User

The minute we walked into the room there was a great vibe and feel about it. From arrival to being shown to our table was all done very professionally and the room set up was perfect for comedy. The pre show atmosphere was very good too with the music adding to the anticipation of what was to come.

Great range of acts and the headliner was amazing after doing a set that was totally off the cuff. Also great idea closing the bar during performances and having drinks waiters.

Great opening night and was glad to have been there, a great addition to the Glasgow circuyt and we will be back for sure. Cheers Jim and Angela McCreadie

User

I went to the opening night last night. There was free parking right outside the building. The venue was really nice and staff were very friendly. The bar closes during the show which I really like because you get the hear the comedians without interruptions.

They have table service that you can ask a server to come to you if you do need a top up in when the act is on stage.

They had a mix of acts on, international, people from tv and local talent. The host was very friendly (you don't need to be scared to sit at the front). All in all, a great night out. I only seen the show for only £10. Next time I will buy the dinner and show package. £24 pp is a bargain!

User

I bought a Groupon deal and took my husband as part of his 40th birthday yesterday. From the meal downstairs in the Italian restaurant to our booth and table service for the comedy show, it was amazing! The compère was hilarious and we thoroughly laughed our heads off at all 3 acts. Can’t wait to come again.

User

Great night tonight at the Rotunda. Outstanding value for money

The first guy was rotten. Really rotten. Barely a laugh and that was nothing to do with being sober.

Des McLean may have been the headline and the compère was very funny but Donald Alexander stole the show. His humour and bizarre way about him was right up my street comedy wise.

Definitely one to look out for in future.

User

Great night even if it was boiling. Christopher KC was hands down the best act of the night. Staff are superb and at £12 a ticket excellent value. First time there. Looking forward to going back.

User

Cracking night at the Rotunda Comedy Club last night. Great to see acts I had never seen before and they were all brilliant with a good variety of styles from fairly light to very dark and lots in between.

Efficient table service for drinks means you can grab a seat and just enjoy the entertainment.

Fantastic addition to the Glasgow entertainment scene. I'll definitely be back.

User

Awesome if I could give 10 stars I would! A great variety of acts and atmosphere was just spot on! Drinks and food also lovely

User

Attended as part of a mates stag party. Food was great, waiting staff friendly and engaging (special mention for Daniela). The show was fantastic. The opening act was Susan McCabe. She’s an absolute scream - should have been the headliner. The compare also deserves a mention. His put downs were brilliant - from the girls from Alloa (leaving early for the last train), to the gobby bloke from Mull and finally the ladies loudly discussing their bill. I was in bits. Haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.

User

Always guaranteed a good night at Rotunda, although I must remember to wear waterproof mascara next time!!

All the acts booked are brilliant, however the host usually makes it. Brilliant night - will definitely be back

User

1st time in the rotunda, we had a ball!! Guys n gals get yourselves down for a great night out. Sebastien and Gary were the highlights for us tonight. Fab groupon deal will definately be back.

User

We got dinner and comedy tickets for last Saturday night - pretty good value at £26 a skull with booking fee. The food choice is standard diner fare (burgers, nachos, fish & chips etc.), all really well cooked and nicely presented. Fast, friendly service too.

The venue is a great space with just the right level of intimacy for live comedy. As one of the comics pointed out, it has the feeling of a basement club despite being two floors up. No bad thing!

The comics on the night were alright, with compere Billy Kirkwood delivering the most polished performance by a long way and justifiably getting the lion’s share of the laughs.

The only real downside to the night was a table of pissed up Falkirkers who insisted in talking loudly throughout, despite the house rules including "a strict policy of no heckling/talking whilst the acts are on stage" being announced several times over the PA before and during the show. Kudos to the manager, who stepped in and moved us to a VIP booth after a minor altercation during the first act. The talking, however, continued to interrupt the subsequent acts and the perpetrators should really have been turfed out, in line with the venue’s own policy.

User

We booked here for a family night out. The night started off great, table service was ideal.... all comfortable waiting on the show starting with our drinks being brought to the table. Comedians were great, compare was great too!! Good vibe about the place..... Until the comedians finished. Then the toilet we were using during the show was closed so instead of going up one flight of stairs you had to go down two, and to say the bar staff were desperately trying to get us to drink up 2 hours before closing time is an under statement! We were told it was open till 2am but the guy across from us left at 12 due to the bar staff shutting off the pumps... the bar staff were doing the tables for next day, moving them about, music volume was lowered and then we were told they were closing the bar at 12.20.... So we left as it's clearly what the bar staff wanted!! It was a great night but make other arrangements after the comedy as we didn't and ended up cutting our night short!! I'm not usually one to leave negative comments but i was made to feel extremely uncomfortable at the end of a great night! Shame.
