Thanks everyone for taking part last night. Certainly we all enjoyed hosting you so we hope you enjoyed yourselves too. There was some serious endeavour on show in warm temperatures!
We would love to hear from you if there are any tweaks that you think we could make to improve the night. Please either review the event or PM us. To pre-empt one point...we know some people like medals and other Tshirts, and some like both! We have a very low entry fee at the moment so anything ...else we add in will push the cost up. But if you are a huge medal fan feel free to let us know 😊.
Until next year guys!
Keep on running 🏃🏼.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: The eagle eyed amongst you will note references to ‘The Festival of Running’ and in the past we have had multiple races. We took a break from this last year as we concentrated solely on the 10K for our 25th Anniversary.
But the Festival is back 💥...and we are very excited to announce a new race for secondary school kids - ’To the Pond & Beyond’. Full Details in the image below.
... We will also have informal races for primary school kids at 6pm. No pre entry required for the primary races.
So the evening can be a real family challenge if you want it to be.
We had hoped to have amended this page name to reflect the ‘Festival of Running’ however Facebook have not responded to our requests to do so as yet. We hope to have this done ASAP.
Happy Running All 👍

A message from another loyal partner:
“Albert Bartlett is delighted to continue its sponsorship of the Giffnock North Festival of Running. For 70 years, we have been providing tasty potatoes, which are ideal for providing energy for running. Good luck to all of the athletes!”

On the back of the recent news that LIDL will be moving into Giffnock, we’d like to thank them for agreeing to provide you all with water during and after the race 🙌🏼

Sneak preview of our long sleeved Tech T for the 10Kers. Feedback recently has been that you regular runners have enough blue, black or white running gear so we’ve gone a bit crazy 💥. Hope you like them.

I prefer a t-shirt, but I've used last year's long sleeve, so no issue there, even if the last small was given out to the person just in front of me. Definitely have no interest in a medal.

Running the narrow paths so close to the start, before the field stretches out, with benches and low drains makes it a bit sporty as people try to avoid at the last second.

Great event, hope to do it again next year, I'm not sure how you make the hill longer or steeper each time tho

User

Great organisation from the team, smashing encouragement from the marshals around the course on a difficult night with poor weather. My first Giffnock festival run but I'll be back. Thanks to everyone involved in organising tonight.

User

Challenging route, Very friendly and welcoming people, Has one monster of a hill which i hope disapears for next years 10k. So many thanks to all the people cheering us round the run. And they waited to the very last person finished. Nice T-shirt at the end, but i am a bit of a medal geek so i'd have preferred that foor sure;P

A very friendly race in one of the most scenic parks in Scotland. There's a superb atmosphere on the course and lots of encouragement. The hilly nature of it makes it an enjoyable and challenging run. Well worth a go!
