2 men, 2 charities, 3000 miles across 1 ocean Thank you for visiting our Linked In page, please contact us if are interested in supporting the only Scottish team to enter the epic 3000-mile rowing race across the Atlantic Ocean; The Talisker Atlantic Challenge, in December 2015. SUMMARY We, Robert Strachan, and Duncan Brown are a two-man team that are setting out to row three thousand miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a solar powered, un-assisted 7m rowing boat for charity. It is a dangerous undertaking that can take anything between forty and a hundred days. The race starts in La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands and finishes on Antigua, Barbados. THE CREW We are Aberdeen-based rowers aiming not only to compete, but to win this event and aim to set a new crossing record in the process. THE CHARITIES We are raising money for two children's charities: The Archie Foundation from Aberdeen and The Great Ormond Street Hospital from London. We have strong connections with these charities and would like to support the amazing work that both charities do by raising money completing this challenge. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? We hope to provide sponsors with as many opportunities for media and social media exposure as possible including, the promotion of your contribution across our website and our social media, we can also incorporate your branding onto the boat and /or our race clothing.
