Breathraking building, when I enter for my first time I thought I was confused, It looks like a museum. Very well decorated, staff a very kind. They are relaxation music and a lovely perfume and not to much sweet neither too much strong. When I came out I felt I was in anotjer relaxing world. Such a great experience.

It is without a doubt the most impressive bank building in Scotland. But the service...oh dear. There is not a single day where I haven't been waiting in a queue for at least 15 minutes. there is this spacious hall with the elegant furniture and the "exhibition" of the bank's tradition and wealth and yet they only have a a few desks to serve customers. From those few desks there are usually just 2 or 3 maximum occupied with a long queue waiting to be served. When I arrived today there was a queue of 15 people waiting patiently with only one staff serving. I waited more than 20 minutes. When I finally saw the manager of that team and raised my concerns he only grinned at me and mumbled an apology. He also suggested that I could move banks which I WILL INDEED. Almost all my experiences with RBS have been appalling. I will move my private as well as my business accounts and go somewhere else. Many thanks for the advice!

Customer or not this is a must visit when in Edinburgh, purely to admire the interior of the banking hall. The photos will give you a feel for the place but you need to see it in person.
