There are a few essential Edinburgh whisky purveyors. RMW is one. Knowledgeable staff. Impressive selection. And they choose not to charge the tourist-trap prices they could.

Compared to another two Whisky stores we went into on Royale Mile, this store (RM Whiskies) is definitely the BEST and most highly rated store! Top 3 reasons why you should buy here:

1. KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF who have strong opinions and love their whisky! We had a wonderful lady who shared our passion for smoky, peaty Islay whisky! She recommended BenRiach and Signatory Vintage for us, both of which we had rarely tasted in the US. After we got home, we researched both and they were highly rated!

2. GREAT PRICES! Prices are on-point with online prices, factoring in VAT refund, availability outside of Scotland AND location on the mile, it's amazing!

Variety not as much as others "tourist whisky shops" yet price seems comparatively cheaper. Good services and staffs are willing to explain and help you to find what you need.

They also provide worldwide shipping you may have a check on your home country with the staffs too! (Looks good deal with 3+ bottles wanna try next time! Lol)

Really nice selection of Whisky and Gin. And the service is really good. They took time to help us a lot. They didn't sold us something just for the price, they have real ethic there. I hardly suggest this place!
