Apologies if there was a delay in service on Friday 12 January. We received an unfounded allegation that we had engaged workers who were not legally qualified to work in the UK. WeŌĆÖd like to place on record that such allegations were clearly mistaken and not correct but this did cause a slight disruption in service due to the vexatious allegation being made.

Went last night as a party of 6, the staff couldn't do enough to help, the food was outstanding, the quality and amount was first class, atmosphere was very informal and relaxed, will definitely be going again very soon

Went for my sons 13th birthday meal. Lovley food, great service and amazing stuffed mushrooms. Really accommodating staff. Very clean and well presented. Thanks for a brilliant Sunday afternoon x

The food was fresh and piping hot. The service was great. One if the waiters had a great sense of humour.

I love taking groups of friends as well as groups for business meals here it's just such a comfortable atmosphere. Fantastic upbeat staff along with brilliant food. For a place as good as this expect slight delays in busy periods. Remember the best things come to those who wait.

Found this place completely by chance. Absolutely brilliant value, staff are amazingly attentive and the food is beautiful. If you're in and around the Litchfield area, you need to go.

Attended CNY for the second year. My husband came with me this year and he absolutely loved it. Fantastic food very courteous staff, nothing was too much trouble. An amazing night at an amazing place

Went Sunday lunch with family never got to main meal to many different starters could have had main but to full count fault it never been on a evening so can't say but go quite regular Sunday lunch worth going.

It's a nice place to have a dinner with a love one, the food and drinks there are very delicious and I had to go for 4 star because everything over there is kinda expensive. It was my first time and the place was wow, I really enjoyed my dinner.

Came last night for a family birthday meal for 35 people. Excellent service, kind attentative staff and excellent food! Nothing was too much trouble.

Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the drinks prices were extortionate.

I am aware that it states on lots of reviews on here that the prices are competitive with other restaurants in Lichfield but we eat out a lot in Lichfield and I can honestly say that the prices at the Ruby are higher than other restaurants.

Will most definitely return for the food though.

Food was tasty when we finally got it, good selection unless you are a vegitarian, then there are just 4 starters and 4 things on the main menu to choose from. Supposed to be an all you can eat resturant for a set price, but if anyone wants duck or king prawn items there is an additional surcharge which is added to the whole group (not good if you are the veggie and have to pay as well) service was incredibly slow. We had to ask for our table to be cleared several times before they finally came to take the main order. I wont be in a hurry to return.

Well after going to the ruby for over fifteen years and never having a bad meal it saddens me to see these low reviews but even worse that I'm having to join these people after tonight ! Having to have been waiting 30mins and only receiving the start after asking them items missing and then another 30 mins for the next starter all due to being busy this isn't the ruby I know so well ! Followed by a fight in the kitchen left me very shocked and disappointed this has left me speechless and thoughtful as to if I will return.

I really hope the ruby take these reviews and start to put things in to action as it's an awful shame and I would love to see them turn this around as the restaurant used to be an amazing place with excellent reviews

Food and atmosphere is brilliant, can't complain, introduced friends a while back and we have been several times since. Only let down is the one guy who works there who is very rude, leans over people eating and has a bad attitude, (even other members of staff have apologised for him in the past)

We felt that it was a shame to let one guy ruin a otherwise great evening so continued to attend, until the other week a friend tried to book a table for us, just to be told 'we're busy' and hung up, he never mentioned numbers or times. I rang to be told i 'wouldn't like the price'... this is the final straw for us unfortunately. Great food but a bad attitude ruins it for us!

We went for a family meal this evening 6 adults in total. The food was very good however we were charged full price for my 2 year old nephew. Even thought they brought 6 of everything out - nothing for my nephew who just ate a bit of rice and a few chips. I challenged why we were charged when the bill came out however we still ended up paying ┬Ż7.95 for a childŌĆÖs menu which we never saw and were never offered. Very dissapointing. If you have kids I would go somehwhere else

Rude staff apart from a young blonde girl, the two men were very abrupt. Ordered chicken satay as main and we received beef, when we said we ordered chicken the girl changed it immediately but one of the men came over and confronted and said we had ordered beef, which we hadnŌĆÖt. Such a shame as was really looking forward to it, but bad service ruins decent food

Ordered our food and it arrived, online said 7pm was the earliest it would arrive, 7:30 the latest. Arrived at 6:30pm cold, told the drive we weren't expecting this until 7/7:30 and all he could say was "oh you paid now get over it" called up to complain about the service and cold food, they told us delivery times are asap and not to rely on the internet times. ┬Ż25 down and we've got a cold diner after work. Wouldn't advise this place at all.
