Rufflets St Andrews

Stayed in the Burnside Lodge while attending a family wedding. Lovely setting for the hotel and lodges. Standard of service and organisation at the wedding itself was fantastic and the quality of the food was superb.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant. Very comfortable rooms, beautiful bed and great en suite. Coming here made one of the happiest moments of my life.

A colleague and myself had business in Guardbridge and through Google we found Rufflets. Not cheap, but certainly not expensive. Everything was to a high standard, and the restaurant was excellent. We had very early starts which normally would mean a continental breakfast. However, due to shift patterns, chef was able to provide us with a cooked breakfast both mornings which was most welcome.
Home made shortbread in the rooms was fantastic. I look forward to returning with the family for a short break some time soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Rufflets. Everyone was so friendly and we felt completely at ease. Very relaxing and enjoyed strolling through the beautiful gardens. Nice day out in St. Andrews on the Sunday and reluctant to leave on the Monday. Would definitely recommend and do hope to visit here again.

Rufflets Country House hotel is a haven of tranquility and our ideal spot for a break away from busy lives. The peace and quiet is enhanced by birdsong, especially lovely at this time of year in the gardens. We enjoyed dining in the restaurant that overlooks the garden then relaxing either outside on the terrace or inside as the sun went down, cocktail in hand!
An annual treat not to be missed.

As always, the standard of the hotel was excellent. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Rooms are furnished to a high standard and overall decor of the hotel is extremely tasteful. Lounge is extremely comfortable and pleasant. Food is first class and the staff in the restaurant are very pleasant and efficient.
Gardens are are very pleasant to walk in or to sit and enjoy the sun. They are obviously maintained to a very high standard and it is very pleasant and relaxing to spend time in such a pleasant atmosphere.

Very pleasant 2 night stay. Warm welcome from reception staff on arrival and personally shown to our room. Tasteful decor throughout the hotel and the bedroom was to a very high standard especially the spacious bathroom. Nice touches included the 'do not disturb' teddy and homemade shortbread. Public areas have lots of comfortable seating and in better weather there are lovely gardens to wander through. The food at dinner was of a very high standard and the service smooth and efficient.
Judging from conversations I overheard many of the guests were repeat visitors and I can see why.

It's a beautiful country house hotel with lush interiors. The staff were all very attentive and the service was excellent. Our family room was perfect with a separate bedroom for the children and the free standing bath was the highlight of my stay! The large rainforest shower was also rather wonderful. I'm reluctant to say it but I do think the food was a disappointment for a 4* establishment.
