Lovely site great for dog walking easy to find beautiful setting well looked after. Jim was really helpful and friendly

Good place to chill

Stayed 2 nights in late July 2016. The site is well located with views across the bay to Stranraer, about a mile away. Mostly very peaceful but the touring pitches are beside the A77 so gets some road noise. There is an on-site pub but oddly no shop. People on site are very friendly with many users here long term, with only 5 or 6 tourers each night. Showers and toilets are a bit old but okay, however the men's didn't appear to be cleaned during my stay and the cleaning sheet was last signed on 4 July. May be short of staff because reception was rarely staffed. Rest of the site is well kept.
