S Luca - Morningside

Used to totally love Lucas but lately it's gone down hill. The girl serving downstairs was extremely off hand and rude to the customers in front of me and then to me. This is the third time the same girl has been like this. No name badges to see. Not the treat it used to be sadly and we've been going for many many years.

Love Luca's. Good food. Friendly efficient staff. Their all day breakfast is great and the Canadian breakfast too.

I shared a banasplit. It was good and not very expensive. They have a great choice of flavours and lots of different decadent sundaes!

Had their Nutella ice cream from one of their food trucks in the Princes Street Gardens. They had a great selection of ice creams and sorbets but it was rather on the expensive side (one scoop for 2.25) and I would have had to pay an extra 25 pence for a chocolate stick on top. Service wasn't the best, the lady was in a hurry to finish with my order as quick as possible.

Lovely ice cream. They do lots of weird and wonderful flavours, but I always think that the test of an ice cream shop is the vanilla. Big tick - They do a very good vanilla. (lovely in an oyster wafer - if you've never tried one, do it!)

Desserts are good, ice cream is good but chips here were the highlight for me. Staff are friendly and this is a favoured spot for treating kids after school. Nice atmosphere.
