Saint Giles Cafe & Bar

My absolute favourite place in Edinburgh, I visit each and every time I'm up north. Their soy cappuccino's amazing and so are their salads.

Tomato and Basil soup is amazing. Very busy during lunch. Staff seems a bit hurried but food and coffee is wonderful.

Café with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Full of tourists due to its proximity to Edinburgh Castle but able to get a table at lunchtime. Salads & soups were served as relatively small portions. Good for a quick coffee, cake and/or whiskey.

Great for a drink after/during exploring the Royal Mile. Try the Edinburgh Mist or Hot Toddy on a cold day to warm you up!

Extremely friendly staff! Relaxed atmosphere is what you get in the lovely place. The house special waffle is definitely worth returning to. Definitely recommend it!

Amazing little cafe that also serves food. Found this place accidentally on a rainy summer day in Edinburgh.

This used to be my favourite cafe for a treat as a student in the late 90s when it was still Café Florentin. So pleased to find that whilst here with my young sons it is still under the same ownership and just as lovely. Will be back for breakfast tomorrow for my eldest's 8th birthday (who funnily enough shares his name with the owner) as they loved the brownies and we loved the coffee!

Great food and the best Mocha I've had in Edinburgh. Prices are good. Super friendly staff as well. I highly recommend it!

Rustic little hidden gem. Really friendly staff, food good. Wine served at just the right temperature. Worth a try

Lovely coffee place

Zingy, refreshing tomato & basil soup. Bacon roll with red onion and tomato. Coffee with liqueur. Outdoor cafe seating.

Great little cafe. Great drinks and reasonably price food. Apple pie was wicked.

Lovely little licensed cafe off the royal mile.
Great atmosphere and great for a hot toddie.
