popped in for a bite to eat and discovered their fabulous lunchtime menu. fish teas for 2, a hefty portion , and a great price. lovely decor and great service too!

Yesterday was our third visit to Salt and Vinegar. What a restaurant the battered Haddock and Chips is sensational so fresh and the batter so crispy. Yesterday we decided to have the mussels with spicy tomato sauce to share as a starter the portion was really big and with two slices of delicious garlic bread. By the time I had my main of Haddock and Chips I was stuffed. This is without doubt the best fish restaurant I have ever eaten in and at 62 years old there have been a few. The staff are delightful and always very attentive. I will be back again and again and again.

Wife and kids loved it! Went back two days later for the fish tea at lunch amazing value!

What a gem of a place. Nice surroundings, lovely staff, delicious food and fantastic value for money. Found this restaurant by accident but will definitely be back. The risotto was fsntastic!

Went in tonight and got myself a made fresh to order chicken supper. Perfect cure for my hangover. So far I've had fish, chicken and haggis suppers on the times I've visited. All great, and lovely chips. The staff always have a lovely manner in S&V. Definitely recommend this place :)

Was here this afternoon with my two nephews and we all had lunchtime fish teas. My cod in breadcrumbs was the tastiest piece of fish I have ever had! Great value, beautiful restaurant, will definitely be back.

Visited here yesterday. We hadn't booked but didn't wait too long for a table. We were were sat upstairs which was lovely. Staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. Decor is lovely. Food was delicious. I had a haddock supper and my partner had the scampi. Both were delicious. Will definitely be back again. ��

Took mum here today her 1st time put since Christmas day...was greeted by name on entering, excellent memory, we were earlier than our booking, not a problem..food was amazing and catered for my wee mum who hasn't eaten much....she had such a lovely day wants to go back for her birthday...absolutely superb

The staff were enchanting and attentive. Service exceptional. And the food was cooked to perfection ...cant rate it highly enough. We WILL be back��

The asparagus risotto is absolutely fabulous. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Whether it's a light lunch or dinner it's well worth a visit

Popped in last night with my husband, staff were very attentive. I had muscles in cream sauce with a side of garlic bread and he had the haddock risotto, couldn't fault it. The decor is nautical and pleasant but not as pleasing as the bill. Two mains, two sides, a pint of lager and a coke for under 30 quid, well definitely be back.

Massive portions for a reasonable price. Tables are a little small but not so much that it causes any issues. The only thing I'd suggest to improve upon is the door to the restaurant isn't clear when the takeaway bit is busy.

Had calamari starter between 2 then onto delicious fish and chips washed down with a glass of house wine. Food great quality with lovely attentive staff. Prompt service with a smile. Will definitely be back next time I'm in south side of Glasgow. Thank you.

Heard the buzz about this place so popped in with family last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it not as good as Catch up the road but a lot cheaper! Staff were very pleasant, batter was light and well cooked, chips a wee bit under. Will certainly use again when in the area.

Had a fish supper to take away. Only way to describe it would be. Fantastic. Will certainly return

I had Haddock in breadcrumbs delicious, my other half had Cod in batter loved it and daughter had Battered Sausage all served with chips ,Salad and Tartare sauce for fish dishes. Food was piping hot . For 3 meals we paid £30 which was amazing . Will definitely be going back can't wait till next time x

Didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Hubby loved the fact he could get a pint of St Mungo. The food (both got the Haddock in batter) was tasty, especially the chippy chips 😋, and so filling. Some of the 'sides' sound delish and we will defo be back to try something else next time 👍. The staff who served us were lovely. Look forward to returning to this nice wee place 😃
