As you’ll all know, our final Club Grub Sunday dinner of the closed season has been cancelled. However I’d like to thank all of our diners who support the club by coming to eat on a Sunday afternoon. Special thanks to our wonderful “waitress “ Willie Reid , and my super sidekick Rena, affectionately nicknamed “Slicer”. Stay safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you all in October. As I am sure you are all aware, the Government undertook a position today that many public facilities be closed indefinitely. As such, Saltcoats Bowling Club must adhere to these instructions and will be closed until further notice. These are unprecedented times and we hope that all members, their families and the surrounding community can come together very soon. Michael Grant (Secretary)

Friends, it is the decision today of the Committee to postpone opening day scheduled for 11th April 2020. Under the current climate we need to be responsible in ensuring the welfare of our members and community. We will look at the situation on a regular basis in the hope of having a formal day where we can gather to "bowl" and inaugurate our President Jim Conn. In relation to the green being open for ties and casual playing, I hope we can facilitate this but again we will make decisions on this in the coming weeks. Can I ask that Memberships be paid in full as the club and green still require to be maintained, the fees for this season will be addressed next season. It is with great sadness I post the funeral arrangements for Ruth Carson. Wednesday 12th February 10am service at the North Parish Church Saltcoats. Holmsford Bridge Crematorium, and thereafter Saltcoats Bowling Club. A lovely lady, Ruth will be sorely missed. T. McCall (Ladies Secretary S.B.C.)
