Salutation Hotel

The hotel was clean as was the room but the customer service was very poor. The evening meal was of very poor standard, food wasn't hot and very unappetising. ...not a good standard at all

Room very small. Rooms are laid out like a rabbit Warren all over the place. Food is hit or miss. Evening meal was poor but breakfast excellent.

Had a fantastic stay . The staff were so helpful could not have asked for more . Thank you would always recommend a stay here.

Room (Superior) directly above extractor from kitchens below. So much noise until kitchen closed then again 1st thing in morning as the kitchen opened. Bed too small. Breakfast was nice.

Previously checked this hotel out for our group visit and was shown a very nice room. However on this visit room was poor, single beds in the twin are the smallest I have ever slept in. Not impressed and wouldn't want to stay in the same room again. Reception staff friendly and helpful though.

My partner and I booked into this hotel when the one we usually go to in Perth was fully booked. Our experience from beginning to end was disgraceful due to the following:-
*The double room we were given was appallingly small exaccerbated by the fact that the small window faced onto a brick wall.
*The dining room was in dier need of an upgrade, but worst still we were put in the bar for our evening meal on the second night.
*We were placed at a table which was near a huge TV which had football blasting out whilst we were trying to relax and enjoy our evening meal after a busy day.
*Even by my standards, the food portions were tiny (one slice of meat each), and quite frankly the female dishing the food out looked as though she liked to keep most of it back for herself!
*The buffet breakfast was greasy, and the over cooked bacon didn`t go well with the undercooked scrambled egg.
*Given the dreadful room we were allocated, and the disgusting food we were served in a terrible ambience, we would never go back to this hotel or recommend it to even our worst enemy!

The staff here are really helpful and friendly, and breakfast was very good buffet style. The big problem is that the hotel is really quite dated. The walls are wafer thin, so you can hear people in the corridor talking as they go past. The windows are old and rotten. The whole place could just do with a lick of paint here and there.

Great reasonable price Hotel. Good breakfast with lots of choice. No onsite parking but a local multi story carpark near by that has a reasonable daily charge. £8 for a Friday to Sunday stay well lit with security cameras.

Room I had was fresh and newly renovated with a white brick work tile in the bathroom which looked fab. Food was great too and all slap bang in the centre of town. Think I'll be back for the horse racing and book again..... Recommend 😁
