Samphire Seafood Restaurant

Samphire will be closed for lunch on Sunday 9th of September as I will be up doing a cooking demo at best of the West festival. We will re-open at 5pm as normal

We are currently looking for someone one to join our front of house team. Part time hours from 12:00-15:00 5 days per week. Very competitive hourly rate and share of excellent tips. Please contact myself or Laura young if interested

We are now open our high season hours Wednesday though Sunday 12:00-14:30 17:00-20:45. We will remain closed Mondays and Tuesdays for the next couple of months and open Tuesdays from mid July. We look forward to seeing you all over the coming Season. Andrew and the Samphire team.

As we have just re-opened we are going to be running our Thursday winter special. Beer battered haddock and chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce served with a 125ml glass of house wine, 330ml bottled beer or soft drink for £13.95. What a lovely seafood restaurant. The starter (tempura calamari) melted in my mouth and it had a delicious garlic mayonnaise with it. Lobster and langoustines for main- what can I say- divine. The staff were unobtrusively attentive. I would recommend the Rose petal lemonade for those not drinking alcohol. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Well what can I say..........food was amazing, lovely setting fantastic and friendly staff so worth the drive. I was sitting thinking what I would order on my next visit before I even left the building, will definitely be back.

We have just had the most delicious lunch. They say you eat with your eyes and boy, The Samphire knows that! The entire meal lived totally up to our expectations. Would definitely recommend. Staff were very obliging and welcoming too, along with good knowledge of where the seafood had come from. A must-go place for anyone visiting beautiful Inveraray.

We had lunch here yesterday. The staff were fab and we shared the seafood platter which was AMAZING. Best oysters I’ve ever had! Would maybe suggest you offer some lovely bread & butter instead of potatoes/chips? Definitely recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic meal here last night. My husband had the seafood platter for his main and it was delicious. The service was second to none. Can't wait to return.

Lovely meal at Samphire last night, we were looked after really well and the food was delicious. Thank you to Cheryl, Karen and the young gentleman whose name I do not know. you are doing a great job. I had the crab and the loin of Hake and it was fabulous.

Loved it! Fish stew was amazing. Lovely wee place.

Introduced to this beautiful restaurant by friends from the area and what a find. So many things to like: a lovely building which will no doubt shortly be restored to its period attractiveness upon completion of the external works: the beautiful internal furnishings: great service and to complete things wonderful food. Thank you for your patience of our small group that just did not want to leave. Only complaint is that the restaurant is just a little too distant to visit on a more regular basis to savour the wonderful food and ambience. Thank you to all at The Samphire I am looking forward to my next visit which I hope will be not too long in coming..

Had a fantastic meal in here tonight. Food was out of this world and service was impeccable. The wood pigeon starter with black pudding was to die for, as was the sea bass. Such fresh quality ingredients. Would go back definitely when I'm next in inveraray and will be recommending it to others also

From start to finish our dining experience here was first class...food was delicious ..from the smoked salmon to the lobster and langoustines.. .and the desserts...well ...just wow.....the wine was delicious and the front of house excellent.. very welcoming and friendly ..looking forward to coming back again for what was a truly wonderful meal...well done all ....luv"d it x

Fantastic food/drink and service when I visited last week whilst on a Rabbies Tour. I was with a party of 5 who were from all over the world and the staff were more than accommodating and very knowledgeable of the produce served, given all the various questions we had. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Fantastic food and great service, the two girls were lovely and welcoming. The fish and chips were so fresh, hubby had monk fish cheeks and scampi in batter which he said was the best he had eaten. We will definitely be back for lunch.

Called in for lunch on a busy holiday weekend, fantastic food, great service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended

Beautiful place, fantastic food, and the nicest staff you could meet. Robbie, our waiter, was every bit as nice as Trip advisor reviews and I wish I knew the name of the waitress who also served us, as she was lovely too
