I am a 33-year-old Cambridge-based photographer.

I first got into photography as a 14 year-old shooting 35mm film on a second-hand Pentax SLR. Exeter and Devon were my muses at the time. Then adolescence, University, cycling, travelling and working in offices drew me away from SLR photography over the next 15 years. Until 2009 when I picked up another camera – this time digital – and rediscovered a passion that had evidently been lying dormant all those years.

This re-engagement with photography coincided happily with the birth of my first nephew, Harrison, who quickly became accustomed to his doting uncle pointing a bulky Nikon in his direction. Step-niece Daisy and second nephew, Joey, have both since come along and they too are now as familiar with my camera as they are with my face! But it’s not just Harrison, Daisy and Joey who inspire me – parents, grandparents, friends and interesting personalities I see in the street, or on my travels, are all considered suitable subjects for my camera glass.

I get great pleasure from taking natural, warm pictures of people of all ages; individuals and groups. I prefer to work in more natural environments with which subjects are familiar: I can come to your house or arrange outdoor shoots in a number of locations around Cambridge.

I currently work as an administrator at the University but my heart is now set on making a career change, the results of which I hope will make both you and me happy.
