Sanday Nature offers a range of services for visitors including tailor-made birdwatching, wildlife & heritage tours on the beautiful island of Sanday, Orkney. We are also available for ecological consultancy, educational workshops and much more.

Sanday Nature Tours offers exclusive, tailor-made guided birdwatching and wildlife orientated tours on the beautiful island of Sanday, Orkney. Your tour guides are Emma Webb and Russell Neave who both have a lifelong interest in birds and wildlife in general. We have spent several years working offshore as tour guides and seabird & marine mammal surveyors.
Here at Sanday Nature Tours, we cater for all levels of birding and wildlife watching ability from the complete novice through to the experienced watcher. We are very flexible, willing, and able to respond to your requests with tailor-made tours built around you. Perhaps there is something you particularly want to see? Let us know! You can be sure we will do our best for you.
We always carry two telescopes with us so you will be able to see wildlife in amazing detail. We also have a few pairs of binoculars to borrow if you do not have your own. Hot drinks and biscuits will also always be a feature of any tour.
Here on Sanday depending on the time of year, we have a chance of seeing Hen Harriers, Otters, Grey and Common Seals, Whooper Swans, Long-tailed ducks, Short-Eared Owls, Peregrine Falcon, Merlin, Harbour Porpoise, Great Northern Divers, Red-Throated Divers, Great and Arctic Skuas, Black Guillemot, Fulmars, Sanderling, Dolphins and many many more, even the odd Minke Whale and if you are really lucky Killer Whale!
