Sareli Equestrian is a private family run business providing starting, backing and schooling. We introduce ponies slowly and carefully from the beginning, ensuring good foundations are laid. We have many satisfied customers who now have ponies they feel they, or their children can enjoy and are safe to ride and handle.
We have light weight experienced jockeys. We work with the owners and encourage them to be involved.

About me ~

I am Sarah Mowatt. I have been brought up with ponies and have been riding from not long after I could walk. My mum - Liz, has a small riding school and livery yard which I have always been actively involved in.
I have always looked after and brought on my own ponies, some from foals - teaching them manners, how to lead, backing them and riding them on. I showed them in hand and then under saddle. I have learned that patience and understanding is the key to producing happy confident ponies. I have competed successfully at dressage, working hunter, showing and cross country. I have had wins and championships at local and county shows, competing also at the Royal Highland and Blair Castle.
I started assisting parents in our livery yard - schooling their ponies and teaching their children. Word spread and I was asked by other people to take in their ponies for breaking and schooling and assist their children. I feel I have a good rapor with children and take time to explain and demonstrate so that they fully understand. I am patient, sympathetic and encouraging, especially with children who in the beginning can lack confidence.
Many of the children and pony combinations I have assisted have become happy and confident. The ones who have been interested in showing, just last year swept the boards at some of our local shows and had championships, winnings and placings at the Royal Highland and Blair Castle.
