Scalloway Methodist Church

We are a God centred church family located in the heart of Scalloway. Our Sunday celebrations and Sunday Club take place weekly and Messy Church and Cafe Church are monthly.

Sunday mornings are Themed Services at 10. 45am
We have looked at the I Am sayings of Jesus! the book of James and will be finding out more about the minor Prophets, a contemporary service led by people in our own congregation and a warm welcome to anyone who would like to come along.
Evening celebrations
We aim to have a warm and welcoming atmosphere with engaging preaching and a varied worship style to reflect our diverse church family. Please stay at the end for a drink and chat. Our Sunday celebrations take place weekly at 6: 00pm.

Sunday club
Sunday club is growing in popularity and caters for bairns aged 4 to 12 with a fun mix of songs, games, stories and crafts. Sunday Club meets weekly at 10: 45am

Messy church
On the last Sunday of the month messy church explodes all over Scalloway Methodist at 10: 45am. It is church with a twist with something to appeal to all the family.
There are three parts: we begin with crafts which explore a theme then we have a short celebration with a song or two and a story the odd drama and puppet sketch. Finally we all get together to share lunch in the church hall.

Cafe church
We didn’t want our expression of Church to be confined to our church building so we began cafe church out in the community. We meet monthly on the 2nd Sunday at 10: 45 in Scalloway youth centre. We serve fresh waffles and a variety of hot and cold drinks and seek to provoke thought and stimulate conversation.

Not just Sundays
Relationships and community are developed mid-week through homegroup, prayer groups, bible study, gatherings and special events.
