About Scone Camping And Caravanning Club Site

Scone Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Scone Camping And Caravanning Club Site Description

Scone Palace is described as a breathtakingly beautiful place of power and mystery. It’s also the home of the celebrated Stone of Scone - also known as the Stone of Destiny – and our very own Scone Club campsite. Located in its vast estate, our campsite is a nature lovers’ paradise. Deer, buzzards, owls even ospreys have been spotted here. You might even find yourself sharing your pitch with one of the site’s resident black rabbits.

Our attractive, peaceful tree-line campsite has well-spaced pitches and excellent amenities including spacious showers and separate family and disabled facilities. There is a well-stocked shop with fresh rolls and newspapers delivered daily and a recreation room full of local information.

Scone Palace hosts many events and has amazing grounds, including the Lawns and Pinetum. Show your membership card to receive discounted tickets. Special rates are also available for grandstand tickets at Perth Racecourse next door to the campsite.

As well as some great walks along the river direct from site, sports lovers will be pleased to discover there are five golf courses within five miles of the campsite. There’s an award-winning Blue Flag beach at Broughty Ferry just east of Dundee. This sweeping stretch of golden sand is one of only eight beaches in Scotland to hold the Blue Flag status.

Just two miles from the campsite, the city of Perth has good shopping, a leisure centre and a theatre, while Pitlochry offers a children’s amusement park and Festival Theatre.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

The site was perfection. The pitch level and well kept. Staff were superb. Facilities clean and great. We had a personal hiccup which they sorted out over and above their normal duties. Thank you to Steve for everything you did for us. Your a . We loved our stay and met some really nice people who are now on our list of friends. If there were more stars we would give you more. Once again thank you. Ken and Carol.

Lovely site people couldn't be more helpful after a rough journey and would recommend this site nice clean facilities and dog walk down to the river if people have to moan about is a tv and satellite dish stay at home these sites have rules they have to go by

User

Lovely place, really nice staff! toilets and showers are very clean! Enjoyed my two night stay here in our tent!

My only problem was some campers staying there, there is rules to keep your dog on a lead for a reason. Didn't appreciate our husky being bitten at by a little dog that wasn't on a lead and was desperate to get to my dog, and the owner saying "sorry I can't find his lead" rules are rules go and buy a new one! OTHER THAN THAT BRILLIANT PLACE!

User

Lovely friendly site with great facilities & lots of places to visit. We especially loved the river and forest walks with our dogs.

User

Just back from another great weekend at Scone CCC, as normal the staff are good and nothing is a problem for them, took the pooches again as there are loads of walks around the area and along the banks of the River Tay.

The site is quiet, clean, and well set out, there is a wee shop on site and a bar just outside the site entrance. Perth is just a short drive away.

We like this site and will be back very soon.

User

I'm here right now, the showers and toilet block is spotless, heated and the showers are piping hot! The staff are friendly and very helpful, nice tourist information room with lots of good ideas. The site is right next to Perth Racecourse. There is a bus into Perth up at the main road I think it runs every two hours.

User

From Arrival to Departure, Staff where on the ball. friendly and very helpful, Site is 99% level with a mixture of hard and grass pitches, All amenities are in a central block which is kept spotless. Right next to racecourse for you punters and 3-4 miles from Perth whidh has retail parks but still has a high street full of varied shop. In dairy for return visits.

User

First time out with the caravan in 3 years and couldn't have been more impressed. Spotless site, immaculate facilities and some really nice walks down to the Tay for those with dogs, Just far enough away from Perth to not be overly bothered by noise, but close enough for easy access. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will certainly be going back.

User

Fantastic clean toilets, warm and good sized showers. Nice flat site and really busy. Staff were wonderful . Great walks for the dogs and bonus is having the Lodge next to the site that have wonderful food and we could take the dog in with us. Right next to the Racecourse and enjoyed a day at the races.

User

Contrary to some of the reviews I've read I was more than pleased with my first visit to this site. The staff were friendly and helpful. The toilet block was spotless with piping hot water on tap. The ground was flat so no issue trying to level your unit. My wife, dog and I loved the walks which were easily accessed from the site. We will most certainly be back here at some point in our travels.

User

A lovely attractive site, a good size and very well organised. The staff are all very polite and helpful. You are offered a choice of pitches. The showers and toilets are spotless. There are a few water taps and grey water disposals around the site, loads of EHU as well as a Motorhome service point and chemical disposal point. A shop, information room, dishwash, laundry, play area and dog walk. On top of all that it is relatively quiet. Well done. We will definitely be back.

User

Lovely people, great view, natural campsite

User

Lovely clean well maintained site with nice staff, on arrival was shown to my grass pitch at the back of the site which was perfect.

Only down fall was not much on the park for the kids, they got bored very quickly, but other than that very happy to come here again.

User

Just back from a weekend there , lovely site very helpful staff and spotlessly clean , our only problem was our pitch was a bit far from the only toilet block , we did request a close one as my husband had Parkinsons and has trouble walking , however we were told it's a first come service ! A bit far from Perth city centre so had to use our car , other than that we did have a lovely time !

User

Great weekend and despite a load of rain on Friday (well it is Scotland) we had a great time. Very clean and well maintained, really helpful staff. We will return, happily.

User

Excellent site, very clean, staff very helpful, would have gave it a five but it's just a little far from shops, I have a Campervan and disabled so can't get anything to go shopping, don't want to keep packing up the van if I need to go to shops

User

Enjoyed our weekend here. Nice and peaceful, friendly staff, a great walk for the mutt alongside Perth Racecourse. Pitches are a little on the small side (only just wide enough for van & awning, car is on the grass between pitches), and the showers aren’t adjustable for temperature and are far too hot for me (but probably spot on for many I just don’t like red hot showers) but I’m nitpicking really. You’ll feel like you’ve taken a wrong turn and then - there it is! If staying in Perth area we’ll use this site again I think!

User

Arrived on friday staff are very helpful.amenity block is spotless showers are great.there's a hotel at the adjacent racecourse which is dog friendly, good for a nice drink after walking the dog.they also do a takeaway menu which seems reasonably priced although as we have supplies we havent tried the food.theres plenty of places to walk with the dog.also a large field that is open to the public.havent needed the onsite shop but they dont sell newspapers so a trip in the car to perth or scone village.scone palace is worth a visit although its a bit steep,£6.80 each for a walk around.the site is set in a quiet secluded area well sheltered as surrounded by trees.will definitely return at some point.

User

Only using this as a overnight stop on our way home. First let me say that staff are very helpful and friendly. We had to move plots because on the first we could not reach the power point. Even with an extension I could not connect. The camp has very poor drainage and was pretty well waterlogged. The toilets and showers are fantastic the only problem being unable to change the shower temperature that was much too hot to the point where it was scalding. This seems to be a problem at all C&C club sites. It was hard to find the site because there are no signs on approaching from the main road. The post code takes you to the wrong place. On the plus side if the weather is kind this will be a smashing place to stay
