Thanks to the Evening Express for mentioning our city centre tours. We had so many bookings on Saturday we had to do two tours!

Hurray! It's the most depressing month of the year. Not to worry though, as our tours will be running every week, helping you to keep your New Year's Resolution to be more active/try new things/learn more about your own city.

A few memories from 2018! As I reflect on the last year, I am glad that we focused on expanding our Aberdeen tours. It has been amazing to see so many of you coming on repeat tours, recommending us to your friends or helping us out on social media. It doesn't go unnoticed and really means a lot. So thank you so much to everyone who has supported us this year 💐

So let me chip in my tuppence worth. One couple who came on my tour really stuck out to me this year - because they were coming on the tour as part of a Christmas present. Every year for Christmas she gives him a year of dates - 12 things that they do together, one every month. It might be a night at the theatre, it might be going to a dance class, it might be something as simple as a picnic in a new place. To me it sounded like a great way of gi...ving a present that lasts all year and ensuring that you make time for your relationship.
And it isn't just something that applies to couples. You can give an experience to friends or family members too. Because you aren't just giving them the opportunity to do a fun activity; you are giving them something which (hopefully) they will value even more - time spent together (bit corny, I know, but true).

📣*ANNOUNCEMENT TIME*
For winter we are launching a new tour - this one with a bit of a twist. It will be a Craft Beer Tour around the 4 Aberdeen pubs that are connected to craft breweries 🍻Aberdeen has really gotten a reputation for beer over the last few years and we wanted to showcase that on our new tour. The tour will be led by guide (and craft beer enthusiast) Rick and will be all about the history of craft beer, as well as the surprising, amusing and revealing tales of ...how these Aberdeen breweries developed.
Of course, a craft beer tour would not be complete without sampling the beer itself. At each location you’ll get a 1/3 pint of a beer with a story to tell. We hope you’ll come away from the tour with some new favourites and some trivia to share next time you are down the pub.
We'll be running one tour just before Christmas and one in January. Tickets are available now from our website and are £25 (including booking fee). But we want to keep this tour quite cosy and intimate so places are limited to 8 per tour.
We're really excited about this new venture for SFT into something a little bit different for us and we hope to see some of you fans of beer and history along on the new tour.

Our busiest Old Aberdeen tour yet at the weekend! It was really amazing to have such a great turn out, particularly as the weather gets colder.

We just took Leah's walking tour of Aberdeen and it was fantastic - I'd strongly recommend it. We both learned stuff we hadn't known before and the whole tour was delivered with a huge amount of knowledge and enthusiasm but also personality. Looking forward to taking the new evening tour at some point soon.

Was on the Crime Pays tour tonight and it was brilliant, we are local to Aberdeen but this gave us a great insight into the history of our city. Great fun was had and the guide was brilliant!

Fab and informative "Crime pays" tour tonight! Leah was awesome and had so much interesting information to share in a professional, quirky and fun way - she is a natural and a great raconteur! We were there as 3 generations of natives of the granite city but lots for us to discuss afterwards that we didn't know about our home city. All 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed the tour and its a different thing to do on a Saturday night together, so glad we went! � Huge thanks to Leah �

An informative yet fun tour of Aberdeen's City Centre's historical highlights. Leah was very knowledgeable on the history of The Granite City and kept everyone interested. Highly recommended whether you are a native Aberdonian or a visitor.
