Scotia Vehicle Inspection

Had an inspection Monday 2/10/17 by a Very friendly and seemed to be genuine inspector who came to inspect my vehicle, completely agreed that there was a problem that should not be there but upon receiving the report via the finance company low and behold it was in complete agreement with what the finance company and dealership. Whether the document had been doctored from the original is unknown to me but there are things discussed between me and the inspector that are not even mentioned on the report. I am convinced that some favour has been placed towards the finance company, after all they did pay for the inspection 🤔. I was contemplating leaving 1 star but I felt that was a bit unfair without giving Scotia to give their response to this review.

The company is a scam, call themselves engineers?? Independent?

This company inspect my car after I had full RAC report they still claimed that there was nothing wrong with the car this company works for scam dealers who pays them to make for them a fake report do not trust these people....

An 'independant' vehicle inspector a lot of old tosh !!!
There main customer is a finance company which pay them to give dodgy reports to try and defraud customers sold bangers.
They were employed by a finance company to assess the condition of a vehicle I had bought
Car had dpf removed meaning car was illegal for use on the road ie not fit for purpose.
the engineer was told this by the dealer but the report didn't include this, so they reported the car fit to drive at the point of sale.
Clause at the bottom of the report says that other findings or information may alter there report despite after an investigation and proven the report still remains unchanged.

I'd would like to say big thanks to Scotia team, especially James and Matt Roberts! I had a small issue with my vehicle however, the dealer and finance company asked me to get the issue confirmed by qualified engineers and independent inspectors. I then did lots of research and found this company called Scotia, they took their time and did proper inspection! They also wrote great report on following day! great service, friendly staff! Big thanks to James, Matt, Melissa and Janet! In the future if i ever need to buy another new/used vehicle I will definitely give them a call and ask for pre-purchase inspection! Many Thanks! D. The company is a scam, call themselves engineers?? Independent?? They fix the result to suit the finance company! Disgusting, I will be reporting them to trading standards and I will inform everybody I know that they are crooks! Stay away!!!
