Venue was fine, very friendly staff and the breakfast was nice. Our room could have done with some TLC (wallpaper peeling cracked window and the bed wasnt very comfy) overall a decent hotel

Hotel is in the centre of town. Our room was a little old and needing some things replaced however nice for a short stay. Staff were friendly and also had a small swimming pool.

Stayed here with my girlfriend and our nearly 2 year old daughter along with our friends who have a little boy same age as our daughter. We checked in and requested a table for all of us (4 adults and 2 toddlers). When we went down for dinner they only had 1 highchair available out of 3 which they had in the whole hotel. This actually caused a lot of issues as my girlfriend had to take our daughter into a separate part of the hotel to eat her dinner as the other guests were probably being annoyed by our daughter running around. They managed to get us an additional highchair but it was too late. Staff were lovely and apologetic. The hotel should have more than 3 high chairs especially that Pitlochry hosts The Enchanted Forest every year catered to all ages.

The next bug was the price of a large glass of sauvignon blanc which was 9 pound. You can buy a bottle for less than that.

The room we were given was too warm but we turned down the heating. The window was dangerous as it was the old slide up/down type which easily fell and was an issue with our daughter who would go near the window. The view out the window was ridiculous, all we seen was pipes and a service yard.

Our friends were meant to stay a second night and cancelled due to the shared experiences.

Breakfast was good. Dinner was good.

Recommended actions: Renovation of whole hotel.

Went for spa break including DBB. Wasn't informed that SPA therapist was ill until arrival though the receptionist did make alternative arrangements for another SPA place 100yards down the road. Dinner wasn't filled with much choice and the food was very mediocre and the serving insisted on trying to serve dessert before mains. The room was basic and dated could do with a lick of paint. The bed was very hard like lying on a slab of bricks. Would I return here... probably not

Central to local area. Reception staff pleasant. Food tasty. Restaurant staff non Scottish for a Scottish hotel and could have have been more friendly. Hotel itself needs some Tlc.

Friendly staff but rooms and decor a bit tired and dated. Pool was nice and warm. An ok stay but wouldnt return at the same price.

Stayed on dinner bed and breakfast basis for a long weekend and very impressed with the service and facilities. Very good at catering to any taste and making a 5 year old feel special.
