Are you in Edinburgh before Aug 26 to join in this quirky Fringe event? "I am a PhD researcher at the University of Sheffield, currently undertaking research in Edinburgh. My project is exploring ways of sharing family histories in public, using a board game played in a cafe. I'm inviting people to join me for a game to share their family histories. Free to take part, but recommend reserving a place as there is a limit of 3 participants in every game. More info on the website below and please ask if you have any questions about this." Kirsty

Very interesting and informative site congratulations.
I like the pictures here mostly, and I hope one day to travel to Scotland. My Grandmother was the genealogist in the family. She took care of all those records and found out who's connected to who, when they moved, where they lived and where they died. She had put together quite the book, before she passed and in some places it was all the way back, almost as far as she goes. My mother took it over it's more than enough for a library and a half!
I have highland and island Scottish in my background and dna. Thanks for creating this facebook page..
