About Scottish-Irish Finance Initiative

Our purpose: To work with industry, academia and policymakers to provide workable solutions for the finance industry in the run-up to and following on from the UK leaving the European Unionin the longer term to create a European north-west coast finance and fintech corridor, helping new and existing companies work better together so as to create more innovative solutions for the finance industryWe achieve this through: Acting as a conduit between companies, universities, policymakers and trade groupings to promote an environment of cooperation in Scottish /Irish Finance and fintech affairs, and promoting this strand of activity to the global finance community; this will be achieved through the organisation of events, meetings, activities, and attendance and participation at key industry forumsProducing policy papers, thought leadership, academic work, newspaper articles etc. To promote our work and outline policy solutions in detail Change creates opportunities – while last year's vote in the UK to leave the European Union has led to significant challenges for banks, insurers and the fund industry, Ireland, and Scotland have the skills, synergies, expertise and experience that together can offer solutions to companies caught up in the uncertainty.
