Scottish polocrosse players covered themselves in glory in the Arden tournament last weekend. All Scottish players played extremely well and were a credit to us all and some went on to win awards and deserve extra congratulations. In intermediate juniors Rob Ferguson won the grade with his celyn team and also was awarded the best player prize for number one. Ilya Puccianti was awarded the best number three prize and Freya MacColl was awarded the best horse prize. Very well... played all three ! In open juniors Megan MacColl and Ross Horn won the grade with their northern lions team and Megan MacColl was also awarded the best player prize for number 1. Huge congratulations for a fantastic win. In d grade Shaun Gillanders was awarded the best player prize for number 3 and in addition the best horse award as well. Brilliant achievement. In c grade Luca Puccianti came second with his team . Very well played! So big round of applause all round and well done everyone on fantastic play even if your name doesn't feature on the honours roll you were all fantastic to watch and showed great skill.

Huge congratulations to Scottish polocrosse player John Ferguson who was selected to play in the British team for the pony club against an Australian inbound tour. John was awarded the best junior player accolade amongst very stiff competition and played superbly. Very well played John! Lovely to see Scotland continues to produce talented players and we are confident you will continue to make Scotland proud!
Men's match day 2. This one was such closer game with the UK just pulling ahead towards the end. Once again our very own Scottish Polocrosse player, Hamish Gillanders played.a very effective part in the match. The commentary says it all really. But who was that silver tongued devil on the microphone...

For anyone that didn't see the UK against Ireland at the weekend here is the first 6.chukkas of the men's match. Our very own Scot, Hamish Gillanders is playing. Chukkas 7/8 and the second match on Sunday will follow along with the Ladies matches.
Congratulations Scotland your polocrosse players are really making us all proud! We have so many talented Scottish players we have a huge number of congratulations to give out! Starting eldest first.... Congratulations Hamish Gillanders on representing the UK playing in the UK men's team against Ireland in the test matches this weekend. Not only did his team win he was presented with the best men's horse in the test matches award. For the lovely Fanta owned by the lovely Ali...ce Kish. Congratulations Ruaridh Gillanders on being selected by the UKPA for the under 19 team travelling to South Africa in July to represent the UK in the test matches there. Congratulations John Ferguson on being selected by pony club UK to represent the UK in the UK pony club squad playing in the test matches against Australia this summer. Congratulations Megan MacColl on being selected by pony club UK to play in the team against the visiting Australian team in the chairman's challenge tournament this summer. All of you have been selected by the UK to represent the UK and have been successful against a wide pool of applicants. You are already winners! Remember you will represent not only the UK but also Scotland. You carry all our best wishes with you and our heartfelt thanks for working so hard for selection and making us all proud.! Scotland will be cheering you all the way to that final whistle! Go Scotland! Go UK!
