Wonderful venue and great programming. Convenient location with a cafe and gift shop. I have seen several shows here and all were entertaining, thought provoking and relevant. Highly recommended.

Welcoming staff. Yummy grub. Good play area. Great book shop. Sonetimes a wee sing song. Just love it. And its doing good stuff for our community

We organised a series of talks for 95 guests. What was immediately apparent was how inclusive and accessible the venue was, which is actually quite hard to come by. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the facilities were modern and efficient. The food and drink was also really good. Definitely recommend!

The Scottish Storytelling Centre is Absolutely wonderful!

I attended The Men With Coconuts feat. The Loud Poets 5/20/17 and the Scottish Storytelling Centre was the perfect place to host the event which was amazing!

Shoutout to the Coconuts Trio and the Loud Poets! Y'all are amazing!

The SSC is my favourite haven in Edinburgh. The staff are all wonderful, friendly, and helpful, and the food in the cafe is excellent. They put on a great range of programmes with a wide interpretation of the genre of storytelling, from more traditional forms to spoken word poetry to comedy to dance.

Right in the heart of Edinburgh and well worth a visit. Very interesting and informative. Also very good for something to eat or drink while your listing to some of the stories being told

My two girls and I had a lovely time this morning at the Tiny Talks event. The story teller was great with all the children and kept my eldest attention for the whole time he was talking. She was still talking about it for hours after it telling me she had a story in her pocket! Would definitely recommend and will look out for future events.

For his 9th birthday my son wanted to see the fringe show Is This A Dagger? on his birthday. Unfortunately the show was sold out - very disappointed wee boy. We bought tickets online and came back the next day. We both loved the show, and my son was thrilled to meet Andy Cannon, who acted in the show, afterwards. This was suggested by the gent (didn't catch his name, but he was a 🌟) who was working front of house the previous day when he heard what had happened with missing the show. When he saw us today, he asked if we wanted to talk to Andy after the show, and showed us where to wait. That is top class customer relations and made our visit to this lovely venue one that will live long in the memory. Thank you very much for making a little boys day 👍

Didnt realise what a lovely venue this is, hidden under John Knox's house on the Royal Mile. Modern inside with a lovely cafe and gift shop. Was there yesterday to do a course which was interesting and informative. Looking forward to going to another course soon. Highly recommend anyone with an interest in learning about becoming a storyteller or who have children who are interested should look online at the classes they offer. A special thanks to Tim Porteous and Lea Taylor who led the course. Passionate about what they do and who are keen to pass the love of storytelling to the next generation.
