Scottish Whisky Auctions is a part of L. S. Smellie & Sons Ltd located @ the Auction Market, 4 Lower Auchingramont Road, Hamilton.
In the past when we have dealt with the plenishing of various estates there has been whisky and wine collections which we were not in a position to sell. The client would then try an auction elsewhere be it live or online and the feed back has been mixed to their results.
Due to the increase in demand for a facility to sell these collections in the future we felt it was time to take steps to look after our clients and be able to sell all their items from general household items, antiques, collectables and whisky.
We felt the best way would be to create a separate part of the business and have online auctions.

L. s. smellie and sons ltd was established in 1874 and is now a 6th generation family run business. We have offices in hamilton and strathaven. Over the years we have built up a large number of private clients and solicitors who make use of our services.
