[INVITED] Earlier this week I was invited along to @horn_please_glasgow with a gaggle of gramers at their stunning new venue next door to the Ox and Finch.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Horn Please has been on my hit list for a long time, so when I got the invite from @horn_please_glasgow and @gramsocialglasgow I was mega excited.⠀⠀ .⠀⠀ Their cuisine is contemporary Indian - all served as small plates at reasonable prices. Beautifully flavoured with most of the dishes have a good kick. ⠀⠀... .⠀⠀ All of the dishes were stunning but some highlights were the Grilled Scallops, Crusted Lamb and Grilled Salmon... Don't walk PASTA @nickswestendglasgow .⁣ .⁣ Another action shot, from last month when I checked out the newly refurbished Nick's Italian in Hyndland (under new ownership by the people that also own @brelbar and @jacquesfinnieston ).⁣ .⁣ This dish was the Nduja Fusilli Pasta with Italian sausage, red onion, mascarpone topped with freshly grated parmesan. Last night I was #invited , along with a fab bunch of fellow foodies, to soak up the atmosphere and sample the menu at the newly reopened space now called @thedamglasgow (under the Brunswick hotel). An old, much loved haunt from my yesteryears.⁣ .⁣ The venue been restyled to impersonate an Amsterdam red light district bar... I genuine felt like I was abroad during my visit.⁣ .⁣ The staff were all very welcoming and we received exceptional service from everyone especially @je...nnmorrison4 who was looking after us for the majority of the evening. Michael, one of the new owners (also owning @stlukesglasgow ) was super attentive and made us feel very welcome, constantly checking if we needed anything. ⁣ .⁣ The Food was 'Dam' good to say the least... I sampled the chicken burger, steak, Mac and cheese, boneless chicken wings and baconnaise & cheddar fries. This might sound cheesy... but the new menu Nick's Neighbourhood Bar & Diner is really grate!.⁣ .⁣ Yesterday I checked out the newly refurbished Nick's Italian in Hyndland (under new ownership by the people that also own Brel and Jacques Finnieston ).⁣ .⁣ I went for the Cheese Wheel Pasta - Fettucini pasta tossed in a 35kg wheel of parmesan cheese and prepared at your table. For toppings I went for pancetta and King Prawns.
