Just had an update from our mat supplier, they are due to be delivered on the 4th March 2019 :D:D:D Can't Wait!!!!!

Congratulations to Jonathan Egerton who was the winner of our "Winner Takes All" Christmas Raffle!! Today Jon was presented with the ┬Ż1000 Cash prize from Club Instructor Luke Jackson. Well Done Jon!!!!

Wow just wow...
I honestly don't know where to start, firstly i would like to thank EVERYONE who has helped myself and the club hit our target of ┬Ż2000 from the sale of raffle tickets, whether you have purchased tickets, shared/liked or commented on my endlessssss posts on here, i can't thank you enough!!! I knew it was going to be a tough target to reach but with your help we SMASHED IT!!! Just shows anything is possible.
I would also like to thank all the parents and studen...ts past and present for supporting the club and giving me the platform to continue to do something that i love doing, and something that the students will benefit from (tho they might not always see it that way :D)
8 months ago i embarked on a mission to raise a staggering ┬Ż6,000 so we as a club could purchase some specialised martial arts matting to replace our current "well used" general purpose mats and help secure the long term future of this club.
Today we hit our target and have just ordered our mats ­¤śŹŌØż’ĖÅŌØż’ĖÅ
However without the following people and trusts this would not of been possible.
Gail Hunt of The Winnifred Potter Charitable Trust Mounts Bay Rotary Club Penzance Rotary Club Sennen Farmers Market
These people/trusts have played a huge part in us raising the money needed and made the dream a reality!
I also need to thank some other people who have always been so supportive and helpful towards the club.
Jo Totty for always allowing me to advertise the club and using her shop as a central hub for my fundraising, and for putting us forward as part of a local scheme meaning we receive a small amount of money from sales of certain products, as well as having a collection tub which been filled generously by locals and visitors over the past 12+ months..
Pat Spence for giving me the confidence to ask and approach these trusts and ask for funding, not to mention her bailing me out of a sticky situation and coming up with a Humpty Dumpty costume at a days notice, who does that!!!
Linda Barnicoat and Simon for really going above and beyond selling masses of raffle tickets to benefit the club.
Snapshot Shirley - Portable Photobooth for her constant support and willingness to help out, whether it be at the coffee mornings or providing a superb Photo Booth at several of our events over the past 12 months, without ever asking for a penny in return.
Also to Liam Baker, Linda/ Simon Barnicoat and Ruby Wilson who saved the day tonight by providing some last minute music and lighting for our party after a mix up with the DJ (My fault :( )
and to everyone else who has helped us, the likes of Elliot, Jonathan Thomas, Pat, Emma, Ruby, Finn, Tommy who have helped us run the tea and coffee morning at the farmers market this year, Wynne Jones and Jo Marsham who gave us the opportunity to run those coffee mornings, and so many others who i'd like to thank.

I have just ordered our new mats!!!! After 12 months of fundraising and attaining various grants we have raised enough funds to purchase some specialist martial arts matting which will cover an area of 9x10 meters :)
Sadly these mats will take approx 14 weeks to be delivered as they are coming from the USA but they are now on order!
... A big thank you to everyone for their donations and help over the last 12 months.

EVENT IS INVITE ONLY!! Sennen Karate Club is hosting a special Fancy Dress Party to celebrate our Christmas "Winner Takes All" Christmas Raffle Draw where one lucky person will win an estimated ┬Ż1000 CASH. Dressing up is not compulsory but is encouraged (including the adults), the theme is Super Hero's or TV Characters. The best dressed adult and child will win a prize!!
We will also be presenting our Karateka of the Year award on this night as well as having some other fun ...goings on, including a photo booth and hopefully a disco/tombola etc.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and are the responsibility of said adult.

Had a very successful morning at Sennen Market selling tea and coffee as well as raffle tickets to our upcoming christmas raffle.
We raised a total of ┬Ż94.50 from tea and coffee sales and ┬Ż85 from raffle tickets.
Would like to say a massive thank you to my helpers today, Pat, Emma, Elliot, Ruby, Finn and Tommy.
... You were all fantastic, literally couldn't of done it without you!!
Also thanks to everyone who came along and purchased a drink or raffle tickets, and to the market organisers who gave us this opportunity, it's much appreciated!!
