Just had a taste of the Braeval 16YO 2nd Fill Hogshead. Finishing the tasting notes then it's on the shelf.
Walking down a country lane with wildflower scents on the warm air. Heather honey, walnuts and brazil nuts. Rich and full of body.

We just had a lovely late lunch today and it was perfect . Nearly missed this excellent restaurant and what a shame that would have been. Had smoked salmon pate. Delicious and homemade along with homemade tomato bread. Soup was lovely too.

We will be back for sure and highly recommend it for a visit. Owners very very nice and welcoming.

User

Warm welcome and hearty food in comfortable surroundings. Another great meeting place for Speyside Youth ltd workers to come to for meetings. Have a great first week Seven Stills

User

Very nice place. Fantastic food and beer. Staff was very serviceminded. Best place to visit if you are in Dufftown

User

Very good whisky, gin and bottled ale selection. Coffee also superb. My game stew was delicious as was my wife's 'stoved chicken'. My a flambé Glenfarcas cake ignited at the table was out of this world. The only minuscule hint of a criticism is that my wife night have preferred her rhubarb crumble warm with ice cream. It was also apparently delicious though. The ambience was so chilled and all the little seemingly slightly random touches in decor and objects etc left me regretting that we had to return home. I think a B&B visit is on order some time soon.

The whisky and chocolate marriage is a match made in heaven. The food was made from the heart and so yummy and fresh. Home made bread and home grown carrot soup. Delicious! Ros was the perfect host and Patrick (the chef) even came out to have a chat. So welcoming. If you're nearby to Dufftown you must try this place.

The best pub in Dufftown. Great selection of single malts, great food and atmosphere.

My wife and i recently visited Speyside with the intention of doing a couple of distillery tours, one of which was The Balvenie.

after the tour we walked into Dufftown for a look round and something to eat.

we came across The Seven stills by accident and entered thinking it was a pub.

We thought it was just a restaurant and reviewed it on trip advisor as such.

i must aplogise as i was later informed that it still is a pub and restaurant.

i had a bottle of gorgeous beer with my sandwich and we were really satisfied with the wares provided.

i shall return there should i find myself in the area again for there is nothing i like more than a good nosing of fine malts.

we were only in the area for two days as my wife had taken me there for a tour of my two fave whiskys, MacAllan and Balvenie.

to the lady who served us that day i say thank you for everything and i'm sorry i got it a bit wrong and i want to come back as i intend to find out more about The Mortlach..may i wish all the very best of luck for the future...John.

Brilliant place

User

Absolutely amazing food, a huge selection of Scottish beers, ciders and spirits, all in a beautiful setting with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I think I may become a ‘regular’!

User

Lovely evening for drinks. Staff knowledge of the local fayre and most importantly Whisky was second to none. The venue could do with a small bar centric area rather being entirely dedicated to food (just make it slightly more inviting as a bar).
