So- good news! Recovery has gone well, and I’m hoping to be back in the shop starting next week! I’ll have a few appointments available for select bookings. Any messages sent through this page WILL be answered as soon as possible, but please have patience as we get back into the flow. ❤️

Hello! The shop is closed for the time being, while I recover from my operation on 5th November. We hope to be cleared to return to action in January, and will keep the page updated so everyone knows when to expect me back! ❤️

The surgery has AGAIN been unexpectedly postponed. I will NOT be back in the shop until after the op and recovery- we are hoping it will be by early December.
This situation is completely out of my hands, and I simply wish you all to know how much I miss being there!!

We had a new puppy in, today! She’s as sweet as her name, 💗 and I absolutely adore her! Am thrilled her lovely humans have promised I’ll be seeing their wee darling in the future! 😍

The surgery has been unexpectedly postponed. I will be back to work immediately, with the usual caveat of “all appointments may be rescheduled if I receive a call to the hospital.”
Thank you all for bearing with me through this maddeningly difficult time.

Update: We have been told that I will be unable to groom for at least 8 weeks after surgery. This is very unwelcome news, but I have no choice but to follow doctors’ orders. The shop will be closed for the interim, but I WILL RETURN! Our target is early November- as soon as I get the all-clear! ... (Don’t be worried if you pass by and see all my tools are gone, as I’m just removing things to keep it all safe for my return!)

When wee Bella comes in, she trembles like a leaf. Every. Single. Time. However, she clearly has no problem relaxing and making herself quite comfortable! I love this silly girl with all my heart! 💘

Hi All! I’ve been given a date for my surgery! I’ll be out of the shop from September 5th, for a minimum of two weeks. It may extend as long as 8, depending on how things go. Just a note that, because it’s an abdominal surgery, it will be at LEAST two months before I’ll be cleared to groom large dogs again.
... SO! In the next few weeks, I’ll be doing my very best to get all of my WONDERFUL clients sorted, to see you through my absence!

Hello, friends!
Many of you will have noticed that it has been difficult to schedule appointments of late. I do apologize for the inconvenience. In June, I was given a serious health diagnosis, requiring urgent tests and treatment. This has meant having to drop everything and attend any hospital appointments given, even when they call the night before (which they have now done twice.)
... I am ABSOLUTELY grateful for the care and the haste with which they are treating my situation- just explaining that it makes scheduling GROOMING appointments very difficult at this time.
I waited to share this post until after the surgery yesterday, as it was only after that when we would have an idea of how much more would be involved.
Unfortunately, this will be ongoing for at least a few more months.
While my health is my priority, I am DEEPLY committed to my business and my clients. I *WILL* be scheduling every day possible!! However, ALL owners need to be aware that ANY appointment is subject to being rescheduled, even the night before. This is obviously NOT how I prefer to run my business, and my clients know that I am reliable and timely... but life is not always willing to do what I want. (More’s the pity!!)
So! If your schedule is flexible enough to accept the POSSIBILITY of having to rearrange, please hit me up! My best cure is my furry friends! And their less furry ones!! ❤️
If your schedule needs more solidity than i can offer at this time, PLEASE know that I absolutely understand. Send me a message through the page, and I will happily provide you with names of groomers I recommend for your particular pet, and will gladly forward any of my grooming notes regarding their length/style/individual needs and preferences!
I appreciate every one of you, and love your pets. Thank you, and thank you for your patience while we go through this difficult patch. ❤️🐶🐱❤️

Happy snow days, all!

Buddy had a Very Big Day! His Humans have decided that perhaps it’s time to take off just a bit of his full-length coat. Not quite ready to go with a more traditional ‘puppy’ or ‘teddy bear’ clip, but still needing something more manageable, they chose to take off half of his length with a bit of personalized hand scissoring. My favorite part of this type of trim is when Humans realize that their darling is stunning no matter what, and it isn’t just the floor-length hair that makes other people envious! ❤️🐶

Whisky has always loved being pampered but after having had a bad experience with a previous groomer, I was very nervous.

Tanya was great she put us both at ease and Whisky had a great time and he looks gorgeous.

Tanya made my black Goldendoodle Ruby look amazing! She kind to both hound and human and I can not thank her enough.

Tanya is consistently professional. You can tell she really loves dogs and i always leave Marley with her feeling confident he is well looked after. I am always really pleased with the job she does. Would highly recommend �

Our cockapoo puppy looks so cute and was so happy during and after her visit with Tanya! And, Tanya did an amazing job transforming our unruly Maine Coon cat into an elegant creature. Such a lovely spirit at Shaggy Chic!

My long haired dachshund and Maltese love going to Tanya’s and come out looking gorgeous every time. Very professional and clearly very good at her job.

Kyta loves her visits and it's a great spa day for her! X
