We were unexpectedly in Edinburgh on Christmas day 2016 with nothing booked but found Shamoli open and inviting and we had a delicious Christmas lunch. So on a return to Edinburgh in June we popped in again and were treated to another delightful meal of beautifully fresh, spicy and flavoursome thai dishes. Attentive staff and pleasant surroundings.Highly recommended.

Visited with the father in law and my husband, , the 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed the buffet lunch, the lamb was so tender, just melts in the mouth. Everything was so fresh and appetising, extremely clean . 10/10 . Will absolutely be going again . Walked past the entrance so many times and went elsewhere in the past, won't be making that mistake again .

Vegetarian choice incredible, lovely Atentable Staff. Food very fresh and delicious and I found the price to be very reasonable. Will definitely be back

Thought this would be a bit of a tourist restuarant but what a suprise the food was excellent plenty of obvious ingredients

This food destination in Edinburgh is simply awesome. During my 3 days stay with family and friends in Edinburgh last March 14, I found the place amazing for real Bangladeshi,Indian and Thai food. The foods served are simply capable enough to make you eat more. There are Bangladeshi, Indian and Thai staffs working here who are always ready to get you the best. Specially the lunch time buffet offered here are mouth watering. The restaurnat has also an eye catching interior design nad it's location is obviosuly close to you wherever you stay in Edinburgh.

So...I recommend those who visit Edinburgh to pay a visit for atleast one time at this restaurnat. The visit that will make them to come back here again.

Had an awesome madras and chilli chicken. Light and tasty garlic naan. Will definitely return

Had a lovely meal here tonight....the thai starter was very nice and my fiance loved the indian soup. We both had the kashmiri chkn which was superb and the lemon rice was a nice change too. Also the chutney tray and garlic nan were good too. Highly recommend very reasonable prices also ����

Go here every time we stay in Edinburgh.

My wife is a vegetarian and says it's the best vegi Indian she has ever eaten.

Food was just perfect, this is now my favourite place in Edinburgh to eat, we had a selection of the Indian and tai dishes and shared them between three of us. We had the Indian banquet for two and also the tai sharing platter starter for two and then the patang tai main meal..... Fantastic value for money as the food if great quality. Staff are very helpful and friendly and we will most definitely be back again ☺️

Food was great - Place was clean and nice . No complaints whatsoever . Would recommend highly. One of the best Indian meals I've ever had.

The only advice I would say is : if you are from Thailand or Cambodia ! Don't order Tom yam Thai food ! They don't know how to do it properly ! My Tom yam taste very bad , all it was only Taste sour with no flavour as tom yam! They shouldn't put it on menu if they don't know how to do it properly ! It's a kind of food that's u need a properly skills to do it ,apart from that other food look so good and taste good too ! I'm from Cambodia and haft Thailand so I know how it taste right !

Great choice of food on the menu and the food was delicious, although we did try to crack a joke with the waiter he was having none of it. Place was very busy when we were in which is always a good sign! Would go back.

Two days for my dinner... I have been there... food is tasty but serving same type of dishes. I'm shocked I ask them how and why the answers are not satisfied....the worker are not friendly at all..

The food was good, if not a little expensive, but hey that's what you get in Edinburgh on the Royal Mile. Staff were efficient but not friendly at all.

Went in with hubby today for a meal to warm us up as the weather was very cold. Meal was worst I have had in a long while. Tasteless, watery curry dishes, unhelpful staff who whipped plate away so fast you didn't get a chance to visit the all you can eat buffet a second time. Not that I would have as it was really not good. No offer of tea or coffee as you get in all other buffet places I have been to.

No hot water in ladies room and no hand wash/sanitiser either.

Do your selves a big favour and don't go. Try the Castle Inn near Grey Friars church for a good pub meal instead. All day breakfast was awesome.
