I am more than very happy to recommend and praise highly the service from staff who gave my companion for the evening chocolates and a rose, quality and price of food in perfection more than guaranteed.

Poor food quality. Poor portion sizes. Extremely poor service. Would rather starve than going back. The only good thing about the place is the location /view

Fabulous Indian cuisine! Great location, friendly staff, delicious food!!

Tikka masala was weird. Not like what I've had at every other Indian place. It was really sweet and seemed like basically just a can of tomato paste with a few bits of garlic thrown in.

Excellent restaurant with a fantastic view of the river. The food was tasty, we particularly enjoyed the lamb korma.

Didn't meet my expectations. I am visiting from Canada. Quality & Quantity does not meet at all. Rates do not reflect the Quality and Quality. Needs improvement.

From start to finish it was fantastic we were seated at the window with awesome views overlooking the watrr, watching the world go by. Staff our very friendly & service amazing. Food is fabulous best Indian Cuisine we have eaten in along time excellent portions & value for money was well worth the trip from Edinburgh really can't praise the Shapla enough this was are 1st time here and definitely won't be are last & we shall be telling all are friends that work away also about this hidden gem :) xxx

Initially noticed they had messed up my order, one of the dishes was not what I ordered. So I phoned and spoke to Ali who said they couldn't do anything about it and would give me the right starter with my next order.
After finally settling down to eat, discovered curry was cold and inedible, plucked up guts to phone and ask for this to be resolved only to be called a liar! Not only that said they would not do anything about it and promptly hung up.
Absolutely shocking customer service! Will never order from or recommend here again. Meal ruined

Had a meal here tonight and it was lovely. Couldnt fault it at all. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are so friendly and Ali the boss came and spoke to us for ages and made us feel most welcome.

Very average food. The price is much higher to the quality & taste of food being served. We tried Indian Vegetarian Food twice for dinner. Both times the quality of food was very average.. The view from the restaurant is good.. but the interiors is very average..

Best place to spoil your evening! You can taste uncooked food with a flavour of sarcasm. We found stones in the rice, and when we informed the staff, the response was that the stones were in the cashew packet which they bought from outside and hence was not their fault! When we complained about the uncooked naans and kulchas, the response of a very arrogant waiter was that since we had eaten a portion of the food it must not have been that bad! Frankly none of us had never seen or experienced such terrible behaviour anywhere. Avoid this place at all costs!
