Just before the lockdown, I photographed a number of older pieces that were in the studio so I could continue to share work with you lovely folks! Here's a glass collage that I recently constructed with pieces made over a number of years, including the "crow" panel, which I created during my instructors course at @bullseyeglass in 2013! One of the many happy memories that's helping me get me through isolation 😊❤️

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago, (back in the good old days!) when myself and @mbutterworthart went out for a spot of en plein air creativity? This is how my piece evolved once I took it back to studio.... I decided I would prefer it as a multi panel piece, so I sliced it up, and I actually then also split it into two different works! I'll post pics of the second piece in coming days. This piece can be either framed in a box frame or supplied with hidden wall fixings.
...That's me now at home in self isolation for the duration, I've photographed lots of old pieces so will continue to share those, and will try and work as much as possible to keep occupied and stop stress scrolling!
My online shop is still open, however postage times cannot be guaranteed as I'll only be going out for essentials and visiting the post office at the same time. Purchases made now for pick up after lockdown would be totally amazing 🙏

Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing well and staying positive despite the current situation. Here's a wee distraction from all the Coronavirus posts! At the end of last week myself and the awesome team at Concept Designs installed my latest splashback! Just a wee sneak peek for now, I'll share the full thing once all the gorgeous finishing touches are made to the kitchen, this is going to be a rather special one!
As you may well have already assumed, my studio is now close...d to the public for the foreseeable, I've postponed all classes in March and April and will make a decision regarding May as the situation evolves. My online shop is still open - purchases would be very much appreciated at this difficult time!

Hello everyone 👋 I am currently monitoring the Coronavirus situation and taking NHS guidelines into consideration as I plan classes for the weeks ahead. As I am hugely dependent on the income that teaching provides, as things currently stand, I will be continuing with my Glass Workshop schedule as normal. Class numbers will, however, be limited to 6 participants per class, and I ask that anyone displaying symptoms, or those who have come into recent contact with someone disp...laying symptoms, please refrain from coming to the studio. If you have to cancel your session, don't worry, you can come along to another class at another date in the future. Unfortunately, as you may imagine, bookings are already well down - the one silver lining of this is that I now have much more time available for commissions! Had a fab wee jaunt down the coast today with Mary Louise Butterworth for a spot of painting en plein air 🎨😊 I decided to have a go at paitnting with glass powders outdoors for the first time, quite a challenge, but a lot of fun! I's currently in the kiln, looking forward to seeing how it turns out 🤞

Apologies folks for the relative silence on here recently, I've been busy working away on commissions 😊 Last week saw the Civic Reception and press launch for the 6 newly appointed "Everyday Heroes" who were recently added to the existing wall by myself and the awesome mosaicist Andrew Garden. Such an amazing project to be part of, everyone's stories were so humbling, we have so many people to be proud of in Aberdeen!
