Shades of things to come... on Monday we are having our Italian pizza oven delivered and fitted - massive excitement brewing here today! We are launching Deli artisan pizzas on our menus next week, using the finest ingredients from 20 years of delicatessen experience. Intrigued? Come and visit for lunch?

And so to the name.... how to encapsulate all that we were and all that we will be ... do we rebrand? do we choose a random word? do we start again? ... plenty of names have been thought of, picked up, carried around and then put down again ... but we’re purists really, so we return to what everyone actually calls us.. New signs installed - hope you like our new image?!

It’s business as slightly-different-usual today, doors fling wide, refurb completed and new lunch bistro menu in full action plus Take-out lunches, bread & coffee! Come and join us!

We’re growing excitedly proud of our new concept plans; a relaxed, simple but elegant cafe-bistro which will continue to entertain our vibrant community. This is a reminder that we are closed this Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th and will reopen on Wednesday 17th Oct with our newly revamped cafe and bistro plus take-out range in action; Yes! You can still shop for artisan bread, coffee, lunch salads, soups, cakes & gifts to take away. Our opening hours will remain the same for now ...[8.30-16.30 Mon-Sat]. Needless to say this transition period has definitely been an emotional challenge ... Big Decision making is always tough, trying to predict the future minutae and steer your ship towards a brighter future takes perseverance and time. Our thinking caps have nearly been worn out over the last few weeks as we have tried to reimagine our food business for more modern times. Wish us luck for our busiest weekend yet of painting, carpentry & interior styling. Come by and see the changes next week!

‪It’s handmade Deli doughnut day - today’s flavour has just hit the counters and is going fast... ‪So if you don’t know what a Tonka bean it’s akin to the vanilla flavour but more fruity, with a touch of spice, the Tonka bean is unique, has many fans and is well worth investigating‬... hang on, you can try it today?!!

As we approach our 20th Anniversary a new idea has been taking shape. Shelford Deli will be changing... We give you news that on Sunday 14th October our fine food shop and catering arm of the business will close.. the cafe will remain but we are excited to announce our new venture - the Deli bistro. A relaxed but smart lunch venue offering seasonal menus using natural, sustainable ingredients with a range available to take out. We will no longer make sandwiches but will conti...nue to provide breakfasts, lunches, coffee, cakes, artisan bread all to take-out and may introduce some beautiful sustainable gift & homewares too. Our business will be closed from 14th -16th October for bistro refurbishments. Please see our customer announcement attached for more details. We are so grateful to have had such wonderful support over the years and would like to thank all our customers so very much and we hope you will continue to enjoy this next step of our journey. We've been Shelford Deli customers for several years - we love the hot chocolate in the winter, the coffee and cake on Friday afternoons and the pasta, well, all year round!

The deli is such a lovely place to eat.



Run by the sincere and gorgeous Drew, Clare ,Nikki and the team they make you feel welcome.



The food is truly wholesome and of REAL substance.



It's a REAL credit to the village !!!

I've been coming here for over twenty years now... all I can say is you are consistent.

Just had the feta pasta salad with pesto... your food makes me smile��

Best coffee for miles, don't change.

I love the food here. The frittata and salads are my favourites eaten outside in the garden.

Had a lovely lunch today, staff were very helpful, food was amazing, spoilt for choice, had veg pizza and Greek salad, followed by choc Orange brownie omg delicious, will definitely be going back to try pasta next time, parked right outside on the road too!

Amazing coffee, food is nice (haven't gotten to the cakes yet though they look tempting), friendly staff, nice ambience, welcoming, local and 'homemade' and at the same time packed with delicacies from Italy, France etc.
