The Shetland Times Ltd is Shetland’s leading communications organisation. Founded in 1872 the company publishes the islands’ popular weekly newspaper The Shetland Times (with a circulation figure of 9000 + reaching all local households). Other activities encompass:
book selling (through our retail bookshop or www. shetlandtimes. co. uk /shop)
colour and commercial printing, digital printing (www. shetlandtimes. co. uk /printing)
cross media campaigns, advertising and on-line services including news, information advertising and promotional activities.

The company has 55 employees, is wholly locally owned and has been in the same family for four generations.
We have two sites in Lerwick, the “capital” of Shetland: Head office, newspaper offices and printing works are located at Gremista and our Bookshop at 71 /79 Commercial Street.
