Another great session on basic movement, working on keeping posture, control and timing, lead by coach Stevie All taken in good humour and then came the last ten minutes. We had a early birthday celebration for the big silverback ( class lineup lol ) he took it all in his stride and looked every bit the teenager he once wasπππwe could have had pay per view and made a fortune.πππHappy Birthday John when it comes from us all at Shettleston πππππππππΊ
We are pleased to announce that our Sensei Alex Reid will be presented with his Rokudan (6th Dan) by one of the countries highest grades Colin McIver kudan (9th Dan). This is a great achievement for Alex and Shettleston Judo Club. Alex is a BJA Senior Examiner and works tirelessly to help promote and deliver our National Promotion Exams and its Syllabus. He therefore wished to share this special occasion and experience with those starting their journey within Judo. we hope you can be there to celebrate alongside us.
After a great session with the kids we have to thank Chris Murphy for coming down to catch the kids at the end, for them to see his medal and cup. Needles to say they were in awe of him. We moved on to a quiet but enjoyable session at the seniors lead by coach Stevie, covering some much needed basic technique and movement. Well done to Chris and Thank you to all who came along ππππππππ
