As we commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D-Day, here is a short story of one of the pipers who played on that day. Piper Bill Millin learned to play the bagpipes through the 94th Glasgow Boys' Brigade.

Presbytery event for anyone who serves for our children and young people. Past events have had great feed back!

Glasgow Presbytery are putting on two very interesting events next weekend. On Saturday morning, at Clincarthill Church, there is 'A Taste for Mission'. This is an opportunity to find out about different approaches for reaching out to our community, including reaching out to children with Godly Play and ways of engaging those who are isolated. It runs from 10am to 1pm and includes lunch. On Sunday at 3pm, there is a service in the University Chapel celebrating God the Creator and God the Holy Spirit, and looking at how science can actually point us towards God.

One of the visitors to last Saturday's Heritage Event was Ilisa Stack - Shettleston's Artist in Residence. She is hosting a pop-up photo event at Tesco this Saturday. She'd be delighted to see any old photos you have of the area and also to take a photo of you to add to her archive. Why not pop along and see what it's all about?

If you find that life can often be confusing and unfair, if it feels as if you're "chasing after the wind" as you go from one week to the next, then you're in good company...the wisest man in the Old Testament, King Solomon, found the same thing. Come and find out more about his story and what it means for us as we begin our new sermon series on the Book of Ecclesiastes tomorrow morning (11am).
