A ‘must have’ Diploma for any massage therapist. It is a skill that is portable, flexible, convenient, and most importantly, in demand! Suitable for all levels of experience from beginner to professional massage therapist.
This course is taught by Lesley Lewis, one of our most experienced teachers. Over the 2 days the course incorporates 3 set routines: 10 minute, 20 minute, and a ‘hands free’ routine for those with wrist or thumb problems. Lesley shares with you a host of ...practical and flexible Thai Massage and Japanese Shiatsu techniques to incorporate into treatments and equip you to work with skill and confidence.
Cost: £155 per person. £50 assessment fee (only required for professional certification). Class numbers are limited to 8 to ensure individual attention. 10% loyalty discount to members of Shiatsu & Thai Massage Training Scotland FB community.
Entry requirements: Suitable for all levels of experience from beginner onwards. To receive the Diploma you must have existing massage or bodywork certificate (or equivalent qualification which must cover Anatomy and Physiology up to or over Level 3). If you don’t have this qualification you will still benefit greatly from the course and you would be able to practise on family and friends but in order to practise professionally you would continue your studies and complete further Traditional Thai Therapies modules.

"I have really enjoyed the course and feel I have learned so much in such a short space of time!" Di Finn 2017
About Thai Foot Massage: This therapy involves stretching and massage of the feet and lower legs, and a rosewood stick is used to stimulate reflex points on the soles of the feet. It is a very popular treatment for balancing the energy and stimulating the organs, & is pleasantly restorative. Thai Foot massage has been practiced in Thailand for 2000 years and has a rich history. Some techniques used originated in India, Japan, China, and Indonesia, which made their way along the silk roads and became integrated with the traditions of Thai medicine. In Thailand today it is practised by Buddhist monks in the sacred environment of the Temple, and also can be enjoyed in clinics or by the roadside at the market. It is a simple yet rewarding treatment that can be learned in one day.

Today was the last training day of the TYM Dip course and there was a thread running through it: confidence.
"When we account for the unseen complicating factors going on inside each of us, nobody can ever tell you how hard or easy something should be for you. They don’t have enough information......"
Good Luck for the assessment everyone. I know you will each do your best. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Successfully completed the TYM diploma with Lucy this year and just did the Onsite Seated Acupressure weekend too.

Lucy was a great teacher with a wide knowledge of the subject matter and I would recommend her courses to anyone interested in developing skills with Thai Yoga Massage.

I highly recommend Thai Massage Training Scotland! I have completed 3 brilliant courses with Lucy - Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage, Professional Diploma in Thai Yoga Massage and Certificate in Thai Foot Massage and am signed up for the 4 day pregnancy Well Mother course in April & On-site seated acupressure course in October of this year and I cannot wait. Lucy's experience, skills and knowledge as a practitioner and teacher are immense. She creates a supportive, safe learning environment. Her teaching style is open and positive. As a student you receive plenty of encouragement and build confidence quickly . If you are interested in one of Thai Massage Training Scotland's courses go ahead and sign up!

I had a treatment from one of the students on the diploma course at this school and I have to say the standard of training is excellent and I really felt the benefit from the enjoyable massage. Im on my feet all day at work as well as being a runner and my legs and feet are feeling great, and my shoulders are so much more relaxed. Thank you.

User

I completed the TYM course with Lucy at the beginning of 2015. I have also done the TFM course. Both great courses and fabulous treatments. She's a fantastic tutor, always patient and informative, and of course a truly brilliant therapist.
