This gorgeous little guy was so enjoyable to make. He had some super cute baby clothes 🥰.
This was mummy Emma's second lion made by ourselves. And he will be off home soon to join his brothers lion 💙🦁

We are excited to offer a massive 20% discount off all orders! In the midst of these crazy times we have found ourselves in, let us bring you a little joy 🥰.
I know a lot of us are using this time to sort through our kids cupboards, what better way to use those precious items by turning them into beautiful keepsakes.
We will run this discount until the 30th of April and there is no need to worry about going out to the post office to send your item, there are many companies th...at you can book a parcel for collection and they will collect from your home. Alternatively you can wait until the lockdown has been lifted. We are currently fully booked until mid may so fingers crossed it will be safe to drop off by then.
Have a look through our Facebook shop or previous post to see our recent work. If you have any questions or would like to place an order please send us a pm
Stay safe. Love Nicola and Sharon xxx

Hello👋....we're still here I promise!
Life has been more than a little but hectic these last two weeks and our social media accounts have definitely taken a back seat. But we are still working away on all your beautiful orders 🥰

Its been a bit of a weird week to say the least and we have been pretty distracted with all that's been happening☹. How have you all been feeling?
Unfortunately we've missed so many days of #marchmeetthemaker with trying to organise kids, jobs and all your lovely orders, that it's just not possible for us to catch up...maybe we will manage it next year. But the days we have taken part have been really enjoyable and we've found so many new amazing makers!!!👩‍🎨
We will continue to create your keepsakes so long as we are coronvirus free. And here are two beautiful lions that recently made there way home to brighten up your day! Too cute...but were biased 🥰

Day 14 #marchmeetthemaker - Current Project. Now technically this is my kids current project. They have a slight obsession with Harry Potter and were overjoyed when I found this Harry Potter themed fabric.
So this is the start of their cushions. As you can see the back still needs to be added and stray threads need to be trimmed but think these will look amazing when they are finished. Not bad for a 7 and 10 year old (with mummy supervision).
Little mini me's for when we decide to retire!

It's day 12 of the @joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker and today's theme is : Learning Curve
It feels like everything we do in our business has been a learning curve. It's our first business and first time working together and you know what they say about working with family (nevermind your only sister🤣). Luckily we have the type of relationship where we try to keep it honest and open. And it works!
We have also found that because we don't live locally to each other we both t...end to sew/create a little differently, which is a bit of a blessing in disguise as we are able to give each other little tips that we've learnt.
Out biggest learning curve is definitely trying to have a work life balance when you work from home and have little ones around. We are also terrible at taking time off 🙈and when we do visit each other business chat always takes over! Must try harder on that one 🤣

It's day 11 of the @joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker and today's theme is : Range
Back in 2016 we started our business with just a handful of products...mainly our keepsake bear 🐻and blankets.
Fast forward 4 years and we now make 12 different keepsake animals (bear, lion, elephant, fox, hippo, giraffe, monkey, kangaroo, whale, cat, duck and dog), 4 sizes of memory blankets/playmats, keepsake Christmas stockings and memory cushion.
... We still love to dabble in knitted and crocheted items🧶 and will always have pre-made items such as bibs, teethers, taggies and snoods to buy at any craft fairs or events we attend 😊 @ Armadale, Falkirk, United Kingdom

It's day 10 of the @joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker and today's theme is : Authentic Space
Oh how we would love to have a workshop together with a beautiful display room and space to teach sewing and keepsake classes 🤤. But the reality is we're both work from home at our dinning room tables.
Sharon is in the midst of packing up her house as shes looking to relocate soon so here's my little creative boudoir🤣. It's not only my create space but the kids too hence the pile of c...raft supplies and half finished projects 🎨👩‍🎨.
A hot coffee with a couple of biscuits is a must before I try and squeeze a quick hour of sewing before nap time is up and were off out on the school run again ❤

It's day 9 of the @joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker and today's theme is : Rough / Mock up
So we don't really mock up any of our keepsakes or blankets. We stick to the fabulous @funkyfriendsfactory for our keepsake designs, only make a few changes here and there to make them unique to @signedsewnanddelivered. And we use the same 6inch square pattern to create our memory blankets.
It does however take us a lot of time to work out how to incorporate your clothing into a keepsake or blanket. We always want them to be aesthetically pleasing and include all those beautiful details.

Yay!! We made it to day 6 of the @joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker and today's theme is : Reducing Waste
This is a tricky one for us as we don't post many orders. The ones that do need return in the post don't contain any plastic...only recyclable cardboard and tissue paper📦( in our trusty @mybagofstuff post bag). Our orders are also made from clothing items that if weren't created into keepsakes or blankets would possibly end up in landfill.
However we are always looking for ways to be more eco-friendly so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😊

It's day 5 of the @joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker and today's theme is : Close Ups
We work with so many of your gorgeous clothing and love that this makes every keepsake or blanket completely unique. We try our very best to include as many special details from these items into your keepsakes.
Here are just a few beautiful close ups 🥰 @ Armadale, Falkirk, United Kingdom

It's day 4 of #marchmeetthemaker : Brand.
When we first started the business in 2016 we didn't have the funds to invest in a design logo or website. But we knew we wanted to create our sales through social media and needed a profile image. So we took the quickest option and chose a premade design for our logo and business cards.
Fast forward to 2017 and our business really starts to grow. We now having a better idea of what we want our brand to represent and the design aesthe...tics (nothing to specify to keepsake as we like to stretch our creative wings every now and then😉).
And thanks to the wonderful Lindsay @ladykinscat (she also creates gorgeous handmade bows🎀) we got exactly what we wanted🥰

It's day 3 of #marchmeetthemaker : Time.
This is probably the most asked question when people find out about our keepsake business is how long does a bear take to make?
And honestly is depends on a lot of factors mainly children napping or going to bed on time🕖. Time is precious and it's a difficult balance between raising kids, part-time jobs and sewing but we love every minute of it.
... So to create our bear (remembering we also have 11 other animals keepsakes and 4 memory blanket sizes) it takes roughly 7 hours to create in total. For us thats 3-4 evenings spending 2-3 hours a night working.
Because the length of time differs between keepsakes and blankets our order books are constantly changing. We always over-estimate by about a week or two for peace of mind also it's a sure thing that as soon as we squeeze in a extra order a kid or two gets ill 🙈! We are currently booking into mid April😊

It's #marchmeetthemaker and it's our first year taking part! Day 1: The Story
The story behind @signedsewnanddelivered is two Scottish sisters, Sharon and Nicola (hello Nicola here, I'll be taking you through our Story🤗).
Sharon is based in Ayr and I'm in West Lothian and we started our little business creating keepsakes and memory blankets over 4 years ago. We've always been creative from a young age and come from a long line of creative ladies. Our gran was a beautiful kni...tter and our mum crochet and is a spectacular cook and makes gorgeous cakes😋
The idea for our business came about when I was on maternity leave🤰. I needed a creative outlet that I could managed around my new baby. So I dusted off my old sewing machine and started making a few blankets and baby items. We have both loved the idea of having our own creative business and working together so one night we grab a bottle of wine🍷, made a to-do list, and tada!!! Signed, Sewn and Delivered was born!🐻
Our first bear is far from perfect (but still very cute wouldn't you say?) and we are constantly adapting and changing the way we work and adding new items to our collection.
Our Story doesn't end here and we are looking forward to see where it's goes in the future 😊🥰
