Silat Buka Lingkaran

Welcome to Silat Buka Lingkaran (which translates “Open Circle”). This Silat system is a beautiful, dynamic and effective martial art with it’s influence and roots being from Nusantara (old Indonesia) and modern Indonesia.

Having had enquiries about my Silat influences and connections recently, I felt it would be helpful to clarify things.

I intend to keep researching and growing in my martial arts journey into the future - as I’m sure we all do. For the record, Silat Buka Lingkaran is my development and interpretation of the years of training, research and study I have carried out. It is not associated with or connected to any other Silat arts or organisations (or indeed any other distinct martial arts styles). While I have the greatest respect and admiration for all other martial arts and teachers, I am training and teaching Silat Buka Lingkaran as distinct and separate form other styles and associations.

This is a beautiful art that I hope people can enjoy and grow in at their own rate and I will do my best to pass on the relevant information and skills to those that might be interested in this way of training.
