the Ladies 1st team's season got off to a start last weekend and this Saturday three more Skye Camanachd teams start their campaigns.
Here at Pairc nan Laoch the Ladies 2nd team welcome Kinlochshiel for their match which throws up at 12 noon.
That is followed at 3.00 pm by the Mens 1st team match against visitors Glasgow Mid Argyll.
... Meanwhile the mens 2nd team head off to take on Caberfeidh with a throw up time of 2.30 pm
[The clubhouse will be open as usual over the afternoon but please note that, due to a private function booking that was taken before the fixtures changed, it will be closed to the public from about 6pm onwards. Normal service will resume for the rest of the season]

There is going to be a burger van (Martin's) in the top area beside park tomorrow for spectators. Will be there from about 12.00 noon onwards. If this is successful it will hopefully be a regular fixture over season.
You can watch the shinty, eat, have a drink in clubhouse and watch whatever sporting fixture on tv … rugby, football etc.

If you read the West Highland Free Press today you will have seen the article about Skye travelling to play Kinlochshiel this Saturday … well in breaking news we can announce that this friendly fixture has been reversed.
So, Skye Camanachd 1st team take on Kinlochshiel HERE at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday at 3.00 PM
(the Ladies match is on beforehand and the rugby will be on the TV - sounds like a good day out to me).

the Skye Camanachd Ladies 1st team's League campaign for 2019 starts this Saturday when they take on Badenoch Ladies here at Pairc nan Laoch. Throw up time is 12.00 noon
These two teams had some epic battles last season so should be a good match for spectators.

A wee change of sport today - but this is usually a great day in memory of a lovely lady taken too soon. June's husband Phil is also our Social Club treasurer - and we are delighted to see June's Memorial tournament taking place next month.

If you are in Inverness between the 9th February and the 19th March, pop along to the Inverness Museum and Art gallery and take a look at the shinty exhibition by Highland Print Studio ‘Throw Up 20.18’.
John McNaught was the artist linked to Skye Camanachd and he followed all our teams about over the Season and looked into the history of the Club as well. It will be exciting to see what he has produced.
Three other artists also worked with Newtonmore Camanachd, Fort William shinty club and Beauly shinty club.... so get along to the exhibition to see all their work.
