A huge thank you to our guests from around the world for donating and buying Skye MRT wristbands. These guys will head out in all weathers and any time of the day or night to bring you back down safely. They do this entirely voluntarily and it’s an invaluable service to our community and wether you are a seasoned mountaineer or a visitor walking at The Old Man of Storr and twisting your ankle they will come to your aid. #service #mrt #realheroesweargoretex πŸš‘ πŸ‡¨πŸ‡

Couple of autumnal sunset shots from just down the road from Eco Bells πŸŒ…πŸ‘Œ

Always a nice time of year as summer turns to autumn and the colours change to subtle hues. Some lovely folk staying in the past few weeks and some nice artwork and sentiments in the guest book. πŸ‚ πŸ“šπŸ˜Š

How some days off from Eco Bells changing beds and cleaning are spent 😊

It’s the August Bank Holiday Monday and we have sunshine!! β˜€οΈπŸ‘Œ Hope you all have a fantastic one wherever you are 😊

A nice balanced view of tourism on Skye and some sensible voices sharing what it’s like to live here and how we can educate some tourists on their time here. It’s not a theme park and ought to be respected by those living here and our visitors which most do but a few exceptions to that. Nice to see our friend Anne Martin speaking some real sense.

If you didn’t love Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 already then after watching this you will and some fantastic aerial footage of lots of Skye too!πŸ‘Œ Stunning locations and we can direct you to some equally stunning locations around the island πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ

User

Skye isn’t famed for its beaches, you need to head across to The Outer Hebrides for those.....however we do have a few stunners and as well as The Coral Beach close to Eco Bells this beach here at Talisker is just a short drive away. Good surf too 🌊 πŸ„πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€Ÿ

Whatever the weather on Skye there’s always some cool place to explore and sometimes you just have to get your feet wet!! πŸ˜‚ If you want some top tips on places to visit on Skye where you have it all to yourselves just ask. This particular spot has got the awesome Sligachan Hotel at the bottom for a refreshing drink or two or a hot chocolate to warm you back up 😊

Skye & Lochalsh seems to be getting a bit of a battering in the press at the moment. We just wanted to respond to folk that follow us that may have been here before or intend to visit Skye & Lochalsh or Eco Bells at some point in the future. Skye & Lochalsh is a stunningly beautiful area at all times of the year and in all weathers. There are many beautiful spots around the island and around Lochalsh not just the Big 5. We are happy to chat with you about places to visit off... the beaten track but if you must go to The Quiraing, The Old Man of Storr, Fairy Pools, Coral Beach or Neist Point go late in the evening or early morning and walk that wee bit further past the crowds. The area has seen an incredible boost in tourism numbers in recent years and we love welcoming folk from all over the world but like you we want to see the island and Lochalsh kept pristine and respected, so if you see people parking daftly, dropping litter or being disrespectful then have a gentle word with them. The island is making positive changes to address some issues but it needs our visitors to help. We look forward to seeing you again and welcoming you to our island and we are sure you will fall in love with it too. 😊 Warm wishes Scott & Nadia
ps would really appreciate you sharing to spread the positivity x

You simply MUST!!!!! When I found Eco Skye Bells months before our trip I just knew it would be a special experience. I kept the details of this unique "glamping" experience from my husband and 13 year old daughter so that it would be a big surprise! I can't say enough about this magical and whimsical place situated on the intensely dramatic Isle of Skye. This is the type of stay that makes one stop, think, dream and plan different courses with their lives. The Hobbit-ish huts are incredibly cozy, decorated with charming lanterns, furniture, bedding, throw blankets, sheep skins and little wood stove. We slept like rocks each night! The shower is a must!!! Private, warm, yet light-filled natural and wild! The potty was the most fabulous "outhouse" ever, and coming from Alaska, we've used a lot!!! The Hub and fire pit brings the place together in wonderful community. Meet your neighbors, share a meal or a whisky, enjoy warm conversations. Or, use the smaller cook hut, just as lovely, if you desire more quiet. My daughter loved the friendly free-roaming chickens and the horses, Luna and Damian...(so did my husband and I!!! ) She has vowed to return to Skye with a marine biology degree where she can live and raise horses and chickens! There were SO many wonderful little details that made this place so very special, so absolutely apparent that a lot of love, personal reflection and environmental ethics went into creating the Eco Bells....the list would be long if I tried to make one, and I actually will just leave it as that and let everyone else discover this wondrous spot in their own personal way! Scott and Nadia, BRAVO, brilliant, and THANK YOU for the Eco Skye Bells experience!!!

Wow, wow, wow! What a unique and special experience we had staying at Skye Eco Bells. Scott and Nadia have seriously thought of everything. With the temperamental weather on the Isle of Skye, we were slightly concerned we would freeze in our tent, but that was not the case. We had the warmest blankets and two hot water bottles to keep warm and toasty through the night. The kitchens were fully stocked with everything you need to cook and clean, AND my favourite part of it all is their conscious impact on the environment. We based ourselves here for two nights, and it was the perfect location to explore the north of the island. I’d like to say we will be back, but coming all the way from Australia, this was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. If you ever have the opportunity to explore the Isle of Skye in Scotland, do yourself a favour and stay with Skye Eco Bells. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again for an incredible experience.

What an amazing place, Scott and Nadia have worked wonders to make this such a fabulous experience. You might well be staying under canvas, but there is no slumming it - it was luxury. the atmosphere is wonderful, no matter what the weather is throwing at you and staying in such a beautiful location made our exploration of Skye all the more magical. Just about to book our return trip :-)

Went to the hobbit village tonite absolutely amazing

We didn't travel all that far to stay at Skye Eco Bells - only an hour from Kyle of Lochalsh - but we stayed there for two nights for our wedding anniversary and it was fantastic. First of all, the location is quite and peaceful, secondly, the tents are big and spacious - you don't feel cramped at all. The bed is cosy and covered with gorgeous bedding. We slept like logs both nights. Sadly we didn't get to have a fire outside as it was pouring rain but, after the sun went down the tent is really cosy once you put on a few lanterns. Very romantic! The hub and the mini hub are great - full of information, books, games, and great facilities for cooking and eating. If you want to go out, the taxi's are not too pricey to get you home again either. The whole experience was brilliant. I would highly recommend this to anyone - couples or families - and the cherry on top is that Scott and Nadia are so absolutely lovely. And Finnegan the dog is adorable! We'll probably go back again sometiome, even though we're 'local'! A wee cosy home away from home. Thanks Scott and Nadia for a lovely stay. Well done on creating such a fantastic place. x

User

This place is simply extraordinary!

User

This accommodation site was the most unique and exciting in our trip around the Highlands! We were well taken care of by Scott (shout-out to Finneghan!) and despite the temperamental weather in Skye, the tent and our beds remained warm and toasty. The kitchens were well stocked. Big thanks to Scott and Nadia for their amazing efforts at an eco-friendly experience that was educational (for us tropical city beings) and mad fun!

User

Such a lovely and unique night away had here!! So special the detail Scott and Nadia have put into this place. Everyone must GO!! xxxxx

User

Sleeping under warm duvets, showering in a beautiful outside/inside and cooking breakfast next to a cosy fire in the shack: it was everything we hoped for & more. Tnx Scott and Nadia!

User

Never been so cosy. Actually couldn't sleep cause I was too hot at one point. Weird, I know.

User

Just home from 2 wonderful nights at Skye Eco Bells, and I could not recommend the site highly enough, and Scott and Nadia were delightfully welcoming hosts. A perfect blend of nature and the great outdoors, with all the home comforts you could want and more. Ideal for seasoned campers looking for a homely set up, and those who are more seasoned hotel users (i.e. the different tastes of my husband and I)! We certainly can't wait to book a second trip!! 5* recommendation

User

Just back after spending 3 nights at the campsite, great experience!

Scott and Nadia were very nice. Wish you well!

Good luck and hope you have many more guests in the future

User

It's not just for visitors! We stayed overnight after a family party in Orbost and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hut was so cosy with the log burner going and we slept really well in the warm bed. So many special little touches here that it would be hard not to enjoy it. Definitely recommend it. Thanks Scott and Nadia.

User

User

Absolutely Fantastic. A very special place on a beautiful Island. Scott and Nadia have certainly created a place for visitors to absorb the beauty and tranquillity of the area. We had a 2 night stay, with our dogs, in a cabin and really could have stayed much longer. Not only have Scott and Nadia thought of everything but there are lots of nice little touches and things that made me smile around every corner. A brilliant experience that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in visiting Skye. Thank you so much for accommodating us, and allowing us to experience Skye Eco Bells - we feel honoured.

We will be back.
