Incredible photography.

Having a dig through some pics of the fams earlier. Thought I'd give them a share.

A snapshot from Glen Etive. Maybe went a bit daft on the settings here, but captures something of what I was looking at.

I don't think Tam saw me take this one shortly after breakfast on Sunday. We get a quick look at the peak of Bidean nam Bian, the highest peak in Argyle. Tam and I climbed it back in 1998 and took in the whole mountain in a day. 2 munros and an almost 10 hour walk with some sketchy scrambling on the way down. I remember us being shattered but buzzing for days afterwards.
I couldn't help but turn the camera around nearly 20 years later to see Tam taking in the scene with the start of the mighty Aonach Eagach behind him.
This is one of my favourite shots since getting back into photography.

A picture of the Three Sisters in Glencoe and Matthew enjoying me and Tam's endless stories about Glencoe from 20 years ago. I'm very pleased with both shots. Sisters are a 3 shot panorama. I enjoyed leaving in the Japanese tourists as they were fair taken with the dog and it's the first time I felt I really made a connection with Japanese tourists. More still to come.

Couple of photos from the weekend.

I feel quite honoured for the positive responses to my page. I've had it for a while and at first I was using it as a medium to get some coin in for my work. I now use it to showcase the stuff I get up to with a camera.
As far as what I'm into, I think my motivation is trying to recapture the mystery of photography from when I took over the school darkroom in 1991 and then went on to study photography when it was all chemicals and alchemy and enjoying the social side of being... a student. Digital really put an end to all that, but I was an early adopter and enjoy the medium.
These days I like to fly a kite with a camera strapped to it which takes a continual stream of photos. The equipment is as simple as a piece of string and some meccanno and lego. It has restored the mystery to my photography in an age of instant results.
The other stuff I share is personal work and fine art stuff I do for fun. I don't take many commissions, but I do sell photos I have and I am open to new ideas - so get in touch. If invited I'm usually up for any interesting project.
I hope you take time to go through my page and get where I'm coming from. I'm mainly a black and white man, but you'll find some colour here as well.
Thanks for liking my page.

The old Lightroom is some tool. I've uploaded the original unedited image with a couple I've spent a bit of time working on. This would've taken a week and a fortune back in the darkroom days.

Some more Glasgow Montages.

9 piece photomontage of Glasgow Royal infirmary, resulting in a 290MB 84.3mp RAW image if you're interested in that sort of stuff.

Getting back into my people photography. If you fancy something a bit unusual but familiar for your wall which you can treasure and show off about. Here's a sample of the stuff we have in the hoose from a walk with the dog and oor Robin. Let me know, great rates available. Can also sort your printing needs at cost price plus postage.

Some photos taken thoroughout 2015. Back in the day that Abbey would've been the highest thing on the landscape for miles. Feel free to share or get in touch. Mind and like the page. https://www.facebook.com/skyfallimages

Here folks if you're playing music or having a special celebration or event outdoors this summer get in touch and we can blether about live band photoshoots like the one below for my friends Stone Pony.
It's great being creative, but if you want a newer audience to recognise your whole band or brand, It's a good idea having some no nonsense, high quality images in colour or black and white that lets you know who everyone is.
Get in touch with me if you're getting around any local scene - you might be looking for some nice, clear, no special effects, live, professionally taken, outdoors photos.

Not really been maintaining this or my blog for a while. The music seems to be coming to the fore these days. Anyway, I let the domain name lapse and my blog is at the default wordpress address. You can find it here. I've read it again and realised how much time I've let go by and how much my direction has changed. It's been hard luck for a wee while. But one never knows what is round the corner. Blog here.

Some new images from the ever resourceful irvine Harbour area. I never tire of this part of Ayrshire. This is more an exercise in stuff that pleases me rather than anyone else. I like images with little in them. I also like photos that feel like something rather than look like something. I'll be selling these as a 3 parter I think. Keep them open for appearing in my store.

You know something, it's no Christmas time all year round, and seeing you've made the effort to like my page. Have a free tenner on me to spend in my Artfinder store, or on any other artist that takes your fancy.
Don't say I'm not good to you.
