Looked for a very long time in this area before I found this hairdressers. Started first with them in Thornhill, the moved with them to Dumfries. Wouldn't go anywhere else! I am complimented on my hair frequently.......thank you Lesley, you're amazing!!

I was at slate yesterday for a colour and cut, before I went I hated everything about my hair and when I left I was loving it! Brilliant experience! Also I had the olaplex treatment done, I cant recommended the stuff enough, my hair is like silk and looking well healthy �

I visited for the first time today for a colour & cut & from the moment I came into the salon to the moment I left I was made to feel welcome & at ease (as I'm new to the area & haven't been to a salon for years as I've always had my hair done at home). Ashley done a beautiful job of my hair as I didn't really know what I wanted but she helped me. What a difference my hair looks now. I visited Slate for the first time on Friday and what a breath of fresh air it was! Everyone happy and friendly, very welcoming. .I had highlights and cut and loved the results..only thing I'm annoyed about is that I didn't find this salon sooner! Thank you!

I visit slate regularly to get my hair cut and coloured and Charmaine always does an amazing job - I love it every time. I had my hair put up for a family wedding on Saturday by Kishana. I loved it she made a beautiful job and I was given many compliments thorough out the day by other guests and staff at the Hotel we were staying in. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. I have my own hair salon in the Scottish Borders and have been a stylist for over 20 years.. Kishana was very professional and excellent at what she does I was very impressed with my visit. Beautiful salon and very friendly professional staff.. If I am back to Dumfries again I won't hesitate to make another apppointment with Kishana. Thank u so much for making my friend and I feel so welcome xx

I got my hair cut on Wednesday as a model for a trainee what a great hair cut a got and she was so helpful at helping me pick out the style to get it cut defo will be going bk

Had an amazing first time experience at Slate hairdressers today. I had my hair coloured by Ashley and the experience was first class from start to finish. I usually dread getting my hair done as it never looks how I want it to look at the end but Ashley & Lesley listened to what I wanted and achieved it 100% and so much more than I expected. I am one very happy customer, everyone was so warm friendly and very welcoming, thank you so much ladies �

Was so nice to be listened to and actually leave a salon feeling like you got the cut you wanted rather than the cut the hairdresser imagined you had asked for! Will definitely be back. First time getting my hair coloured at a hairdressers, and what a lovely experience. The girls are so friendly and make you feel at ease with a cup of coffee, first time I've been to Slate and will be going back for sure, love the colour and cut of my hair! :)

Charmaine is an absolute dream! Does the best blow dry ever and always listens to exactly what you want. Service is fantastic!

Been meaning write a review for a while i been going to slate for a few years now and i honestly wouldn't go anywhere else once i found my hero hairdresser shiona i never left! All staff are amazing and so welcoming who make a great cup of tea and give a great hair wash or head massage as i call i lt always struggle not to fall asleep. The loyalty card they do is a great thing, £ off your haircuts after so many visits. Brill. I also got a lovely little rimmell blusher today because i got a colour in my hair. Amazing place. Highly recommend slate �
